I'm 5'5 but I am the literal definition of a pear. I wear a size 2 shirt and a size 12 pants. I have a long torso and short legs. My one thigh is bigger than my waist. I have huge calves and also a very deep voice. I always thought when I got put together, they just used the leftover parts. I have always envied women that…

I wouldn't worry about it, you are really looking for a downward trend. When you get to your goal weight, it's really going to be a range as you cannot be the same weight everyday. There are a couple apps for measuring this, like happy scale, where you put your weight in everyday and it charts a trend line so you know you…
I like these four paragraphs. Other than that cardio after leg day makes me so very sad, but it is what it is.
Thanks! I train legs 2-3x a week and cardio afterward sucks. Your body will adapt to it though and it will get less sucky over time, especially as you get lighter. I can say that switching to…

Lifting does throw off the scale numbers from day to day. For example, every single time I squat, the scale goes up 2 pounds because of water retention. I usually have my best weigh in day after a rest day or two. But I can tell by the way my clothes fit that I'm losing fat and it does eventually show up on the scale.…

You are so happy when you realize a restaurant you like finally has nutritional info. And the good info with all macros fiber etc and not just calorie content. Smile.

I am also pear shaped. I don't really have hips anymore, but all the booty and thighs. I'm close to goal now, have abs and great shoulders, the thighs don't change much, I'm a size 8 in pants and a size 2-4 in shirts. Lifting will definitely help you. I have increased my shoulders and arms and look much more balanced than…

I used to have this problem. These things helped me, maybe they can help you. I started eating real meals. I used to wait long periods of time before eating thinking that it would be better if I saved calories and I would just end up snacking and bingeing. If you are hungry, eat an actual meal, not a meal of snacks. Adjust…

I use a website called budgetbytes.com She has pretty tasty recipes and gives the number of servings and the cost. Also step by step instructions with pictures

That makes sense. Kinda going with the flow of your training. Cut when u need, push when you can, rest when you have to. I got you. Thanks for all of the advice. You make things simple again. Sometimes it gets so complicated that we need ppl like you telling us to simplify, listen to your body, use common sense, remember…

Thanks! I will give that program a try once I get lean. I've been trying to focus on the strength aspect because I want to keep as much muscle as possible. Im trying to keep the guns. haha. I've decided not to bulk or cut again, I think it's too difficult on my body and mind. I'm trying to find a place where I can be happy…

I actually had the same question because I want to build more muscle without going through another bulking and cutting cycle. I can deal with slow gains over time and was wondering if staying at maintenance would do that.

I've been thinking of upping my calories because of the volume. I really enjoy the heavy lifting (cardio not so much) and worked my way up to this volume. I usually get pretty lean up top when I'm somewhere in the 130's but my lower half stays pretty chunky. I didn't know if there was some approach to try and even out a…

No I laughed when I saw that, neighbor :) I usually start the week with legs on Monday, Tuesday is back and chest, wed is shoulders, then Thursday it's legs again with more of a focus on hamstrings and Friday is an upper body day. Sat I do a crossfit workout that is more cardio. All of my days start with the main lifts…

Hi, I am currently cutting down trying to get rid of some stubborn fat areas. I'm 5'5 148lbs and I'm pear-shaped. I have definition in my arms and abs but my lower half carries all of my fat. Some of it I accept but I think I should be able to improve it. I have spent the last 2.5 years lifting progressively and have made…

I would pick a reasonable calorie deficit and maybe save a few extra calories for the weekends by trimming a few off of the days during the week. So if your calorie goal is 1600 eat 1550 each day and then you will have an extra 250 calories on the weekend to give you a glass of wine or something. Lift some weights to help…

Eggs are my go-to in an emergency. You can pretty much put a fried runny egg on anything. haha toast topped with avocado and a fried egg omelet stir fry with a fried egg I usually have some rice left over so I eat rice, some sautéed greens and a runny egg. pasta carbonara which is pasta with eggs, bacon, and parmesan…

I'm 5'5 and my goal weight is between 140 and 135. I lift weights so I'm hoping to stay at the upper end. I'm pretty pear shaped so my goal is a little bit lower to try to lose some weight on my thighs. Anyway, your goal weight will be probably be in a similar area maybe around 145. You look awesome! I would start weight…

You could try a program that's based on body weight movements. There are a few programs out that don't involve lifting weights but you increase the intensity and progress on your body weight exercises which will help you to gain strength and change your shape.…

I eat 1200-1300 during the week. I usually pre-plan to make sure I won't go over. That might help you stay on track. My diary is open if you would like to take a look, but a typical day looks like this: Breakfast: 1/2 cup yogurt with strawberries and bananas 1 slice Ezekiel bread with 1/2 tbsp honey and 1/2 tbsp sunflower…
