  • I just purchased a Sportline SX from Walmart for $47 and it is working great for me. I looked at Polars as well but opted to spend less. It has some crazy functions on it, but after getting it set up and using it once I know how to get to the functions I want and it's a piece of cake.
  • I have tried a heart rate monitor and couldn't get it to work? Do you have one that you suggest?
  • Thanks! I never thought about circuit training and the calories burned seems more realistic. I knew I was burning more than 180 calories!
  • Hummus and pita chips or wasa bread, 100 calorie mini bags of popcorn, and some days I even have enough calories to do a snack size bag of ghardettos. Bananas to me are also very filling.
  • Well, I haven't done a tri YET by myself. I was the runner for a team in a sprint tri last September and really got inspired to do the whole thing by myself next year. Then recently I started talking myself out of it thinking I am too old. I would love a friend to help me stay motivated!
