  • I have wanted to try out Lululemon for quite some time now. However, I was never small enough to try Anything on, let alone, buy anything. Last weekend was the first time I could enter the store, try something on and purchase it. And it was one of the best purchases. Sure, I paid $108 for a hoodie. But it's comfy. It keeps…
  • Good for you! That is such a great feeling. I can relate. The last time I went into the store, I was looking at a shirt that was in numbered sizes opposed to S,M,L,XL etc. So I was unsure of my size. And the lady looked at me and said, "We'll have to grab a small size for you for that tiny waist" No one has ever said that…
  • I have one and it sits in my drawer untouched. I find it is really inaccurate. Mine detected every little movement from moving in my chair to readjusting my posture. I just didn't find it useful at all.
  • I was a child of deep emotional abuse. My father was and still is a severe alcoholic. I have been overweight my entire life because I turned to food for comfort. And I decided that enough was enough. He or no one else was going to control my life or my emotions. And I took a hold of that and ran with it. I'm 10 lbs. away…
  • Great thread. I'm going to give my honest opinion. At the gym I work out at, which is a well known Canadian chain, I see at least 4 -6 personal trainers on a weekly basis who are overweight. Getting a personal trainer isn't cheap. And if I'm going to pay good money to have someone coach me along, they'd better damn well be…
  • It really does depend on where the tattoo is. I have a tattoo on the back of my neck and I got it before I started my weight loss journey. I've lost 152 lbs and it hasn't changed one single bit.
  • I have never tried brussel sprouts. I have Always wanted to. Just not sure how to prepare most of these things, keeping in mind I'm still trying to keep everything relatively healthy without loading it with oil and cheese.
  • How do you go about cooking leeks? Keeping in mind, I'm not the best chef in the world. I know the basics of cooking.
  • I think it depends on the person. I would personally not waste my money on Weight Watchers simply because I feel like I'd have the same effects if I did it on my own. I don't like the idea of the point system because you could be allowed 40 points a day and someone could eat all those points in pizza. I just don't like how…
  • I look forward to my meals and snacks every day. And for me, I want them to last as long as possible. I've gotten into the habit of chewing each bite of food 30 times. It helps my meal last nice and long, and it Great for digestion. It helps me to eat slower.
  • I think weight loss surgery of any kind is only a temporary fix for Most people. Having surgery will Not and Does not teach you how to live a healthy lifestyle and how to maintain that lifestyle once you come from under the knife. In my Personal opinion, I think it's the easy way out for a lot of people. But they are too…
  • When I'm having a really rough day at the gym and I want to leave early, or get off of the elliptical before I know I should, I say "You made this promise to yourself. Commit to your health."
  • I personally think Weight Watchers is a crock. They steal your money. I've lost 152 lbs using this website, not having to pay a dime. Not to mention, Weight Watchers Online is Still telling me I am obese and I am 5'10, 185 lbs. I'm really slimming.
  • Oh my god. Rice crackers are absolutely VILE! My mom eats them regularily for a snack and I just want to gag.
  • My thighs are my problem area without a doubt. I have lost 152 lbs, I work out 4 days a week and they are Still the biggest part of my body and what I'm most self concious of.
  • I eat the Special K Cracker Chips as well. They come in all sorts of flavours and you get the crunch with the salty taste at only 80 calories for 20 chips. I take them for lunch every day and I've lost 152 lbs, so they haven't hindered my progress at all.
  • When you are booking a trip and wonder if you need to buy an additional seat. :(
  • Gallbladders help to store bile.
  • I get a phantom pain too sometimes. Like a dull ache. It doesn't hurt. But it just feels like there's a pulse right up in my rib cage. Apparently, it's normal. But, the greasy foods and foods I'm not used to eating really do trigger some sort of attack. But I don't see why or how not having a gallbladder would make you…
  • Agreed. If anything, it's helped me lose weight because I can't handle greasy foods. I get an attack of sorts.
  • I've also had my gallbladder removed and I haven't had any problems. Your gallbladder being removed shouldn't be affecting your weight gain.
  • Do things that make yourself feel good and beautiful. I treat myself to monthly pedicures and facials. It's a treat for me, and they make me feel good and taken care of. Take pride in yourself. You have one body, one life. Embrace it. Be happy. Your husband is your husband for a reason. Keep him close.
  • Do you season it at all or just eat it plain?
  • I have suffered with low self esteem my entire life. I've been overweight for years and even having lost almost 150 lbs., I still have low self esteem. Although I've gained confidence, I still get worried that my boyfriend looks at prettier, thinner women all of the time. Although, I don't get mad at him because I know…
  • Unfortunately, that's the internet for you.
  • How dare you express your feelings on the internet and have people state facts.
  • You wanted a chance to learn and now people are pitching in trying to help you out. Don't get nasty. This is the internet. You can't expect to come on here and have everyone rub your back and tell you it's going to be okay. Just do your own thing and nevermind the rest. If she can lose weight eating junk, good for her. If…
  • I think everyone has experienced some sort of rejection or negative feeling based on their weight. A lot of people say or think that overweight people are Lazy and incompetent.
  • I say have a piece of pizza or two if you can stay within in your caloric intake for the day. We have to treat ourselves once in a while or we'll go stir crazy. That's not to say have pizza Every time he orders it, but once in a while, sure, go for it. Or, when he orders pizza, perhaps make yourself a homemade and…
