When I visit my family, which is only a few times a year, I look forward to having a bologna and cheez whiz sandwich. We never buy either so it's become a huge treat.
Great confession. I haven't had a Bologna and Cheez Whiz sandwich in so long. Used to eat them all the time. So yummy. No wonder I gained…

Hi, I understand your frustration. :grumble: You might want to check out the this web sight. (http://www.canyoustayfordinner.com/) It got me back on track and is just very reasonable and makes sense. She has recipes that take food that you probably have in the house. Looks yummy but not hard to fix. I have tried a few of…

No, try 75 and you're never to old to lose the weight.

I have two rescue dogs. One named Tola, Polish for priceless and she is. At first they said she was a Shepherd/Malonios mix. Her muzzle looked right. Then a lady that raised Norweign Elkhounds said she was at least half Elkhound. She may have some Chow in her background as she has some black in her tongue. She has the best…

Had I acquired some of your patience when I was younger I wouldn't be doing this over now. Yours is a real success story. You look awesome.

I find the BodyMedia Fit to be accurate and worth the money. My son and daughter-in-law have been using theirs for a year and they are the ones that got me started. They're really pretty fit. I like the sleep, steps and balance of calories to workouts that they give. Once you get used to it you don't even realize you have…

Hi there. I don't know if this will help or not, I'm sending you a sight that you might want to check out. http://nahypothyroidism.org/thyroid-hormone-transport/#pituitary. It is a bit heavy but if you really concentrate on it you will understand what it means. At least that is what I had to do. You have an option to print…

I am on Armour which is T4 plus T3. (That is a desiccated Thyroid from pigs thyroid. Natural not chemical thyroid) I was still feeling poorly so my Endo gave me Cytomel. He didn't want to increase my T4. Cytomel is T3 only. Since that increase of T3 and not an increase in the T4 I am feeling so much better. As Shivits…

Hi Nunukis, Welcome to the group. As Steppingstones said Lots of friendly pals on this site. Glad you found us. Try to find some friends that have similar interests and send them a friend request. It's helpful if you let them know what interested you in seeking them for a pal. Likes, age, etc. Friends are almost a…

I agree with islandmonkey,. My Endo didn't want to give me anymore T4, (I take Armour) so he gave me T3 to take around one in the afternoon. However, I wasn't feeling the best I could and that's why he gave me the T3. I wouldn't take additional just to lose weight. Just like we don't take diet pills as they aren't good for…

Bump for when I get my Body Media:bigsmile:

I take Armour and my endo also gives me Cytomel as my T4 is good but my T3 is still low. The Cytomel has helped a lot. However the T3 is still low so now he is checking the Adrenals. Everyone is different. Hang in there and keep on discussing your symptoms with whomever you decide to go with. Holistic or Medical doctor.

Hi There, There are two sights that I like and are really informative. So if you want, check out the two web sights below and then talk to your doctor. These really explain where you might want to be. I had to do a lot of reading to even start to understand what was going on with my thyroid. Just remember everyone is…

Hi Babynew, There are two sights that I like and are really informative. Also, do you see an Endocrinologist or are you working with your Primary Dr.? I have had more luck with my Endocrinologist. It takes a lot of reading and questioning your doctor before you will understand how the Thyroid works and how other hormones…
