I started gaining backw when I stopped participating in sports due to a health /safety concern. I was exercising 6 days a week with weight training and cardio. Since I stopped I needed to readjust my eating habits due to the loss in muscle and less exercise.

Its water weight you are gaining, not weight from fat. They main way to prevent water weight is to reduce your salt consumption. Don't worry about gaining weight during your period, it just goes away :)

at my school they usually provide the nutrition information for the food at the dining hall or online on the schools website. if not there, check to see which company provided the food for your school and see if you can find the information there. when in doubt, I usually stick to the salad bar and soups.

I like shakes, peanutbutter on toast/low calorie bagels or eggs with onions and spinich (you could always different things to eggs to mix it up!)

Sometimes the scale is not the best way to measure your fitness. Remember, muscle weighs more than fat, so if you are building muscle and losing fat, the scale may stay the same or go up.

This is probably bad, but I avoid the scale. I prefer to go off of what I look like. that way I will not be disappointed. For some reason, when i lose weight, I can't see it. i listen to upbeat pop music and po-prock music at the gym. since the beats are fast paced and catchy, i find that that genre keeps me going more-so than alternative rock,my favorite genre and what i listen to most of the time.
