I'm also addicted to Zumba! I go 4 times a week and I wish I could do more than that. My instructor is going to start having a "Zumba toning" class too, where we use weights and I'm psyched about this. Has anyone else tried zumba toning?

This is what I do... I love my morning coffee so I will stand at the coffee maker and chug a cup of water before filling it with coffee. Then I bring a glass of ice water and my coffee back to my desk and drink both, alternating.

Yes, it's not uncommon for me to go up 3-4 pounds during my cycle. Afterward, all that "weight" is gone.

My friends and I burn 500-700 per hour class of Zumba. It's usually around the 600 range. As for the original topic, both of my Zumba instructors lost over 30 pounds in about 6 months by doing JUST zumba and not watching their diet at all. They liked it so much, they started teaching it.

This is a very interesting and true! I keep a set of hand weights under the coffee table and when I watch TV, I do arm exercises or push-ups/sit ups during the commercial breaks. It's the only way I don't feel guilty for wasting an hour or two on the couch!

Do you wear glasses? I've found that when I wear glasses, everything looks slightly smaller, and I've stood in the mirror and admired myself thinking I look thin, and then when I put in my contacts I'm in for a huge surprise.. I look like a cow! So needless to say, I wear glasses most of the time. :)
