It honestly makes me angry when I see parents filling their cart with cheap junk food. I wouldn't even feed half of that crap to my dogs, let alone another human being. Teach your kids how to make good food choices!! Other than that, it doesn't bother me. Sometimes I secretly hope that they'll feel motivated by seeing all…

I run about 35-40 miles per week (6-7 days) and strength train 3-4 days a week for about 45 minutes each session. From running, I burn about 3500-4000 calories, from strength, maybe 150 per session?

This. This. This.

This is getting silly.

So... What you're saying, is that because I don't like the same foods as you, I'm irrational? Oh, alright. That makes SO MUCH sense! I didn't "tell" anyone it's okay to be repulsed by fast food, I very simply asked if others feel the way I do. You have made it clear that you don't, so please tell me why you're still…

BOOM. Now, to the other guys... I don't understand the arguing and negativity. You both obviously have your own opinions, but I think it would benefit all of us if you kept your ideas concerning this thread to yourself. MFP is about support. Call what you're doing whatever you want, but it's certainly not support. As odd…

I totally see where you're coming from, but no, I've just always been this way. Even when I was overweight I ate pretty healthy, just way too much!

LOL. You keep telling yourself that all of those food items are comparable to a taco from Taco Bell or a burger from McDonalds. Also funny how far back into my diary you searched to find a Starbucks sandwhich... And slightly creepy! Oh, and diary shaming is highly frowned upon, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt…

Me too. Sometimes I hope that the mothers filling their carts with crap will see the healthy food in my cart and put the junk back on the shelves!!

I finally found it! It was with the organic spices in my normal grocery store... how about that?? I used it yesterday and it was delicious!

I absolutely agree with you. Bump!

Lots of nuts, nut butters (jason's brand makes individually packaged portions!), dried fruit (it IS possible to find organic un-sweetened dried fruits!), bananas, kind bars, jerky (if you're a meat-eater), clif bars, high quality dark chocolate, apples, individually packaged horizon milk (will keep out of a fridge). I'm in…

I run about 35-40 miles per week. 14-18 miles on Sundays, 4 miles on Mondays, Crosstrain on tuesdays, 6-7 miles on Wednedays, 8-9 Miles on Thursdays, 4 miles on Fridays, 7 Miles on Saturdays. That's training for a marathon, so when I'm not training I will probably be at about 30 miles per week.

Little harsh, lady. The fact that she eats vegan meals at all is huge. Even if one has fish/meat/animal products occasionally that person is still making a significant difference by cutting down on a daily basis. What business is it of yours that she isn't 100% vegan? And what good is labeling people based on what they do…

look up "forks over knives" watch it if you have time. If not, read the book, skim it, whatever. It's based around the benefits of a whole-foods plant-based diet. Essentially, clean vegan eating. As for the items you asked about, some are made with GMOs, which are NOT clean, but you can find organic/ non-GMO project…

Definitely rain! There is just something about it that makes the run SO liberating!

I have PCOS. I personally believe that the majority of women use it as an excuse to be overweight. It has become just that- an excuse. A copout. A "reason" to be overweight. Because there is no way that your poor eating habits or sedentary lifestyle are to blame. Anyway, before I get off on a rant, a healthier lifestyle…

It sounds like you did too much too soon, my friend. I take a daily tissue rejuvenator supplement and it seems to be working so far (hardly any soreness from my 16 miler yesterday). Just take your time and ease your body into it. You don't want to get injured. EDIT: and to answer your question of running sore. Yes and no.…

Check out roadrunnersports.com they have a great selection of shoes. Even if you don't buy a pair from them, you may be able to find your shoes! They have a fairly accurate "shoe finder" and most shoes have detailed reviews!

Good choice!! We are having a potluck today and I brought a dish but I'm still not eating the food! It's difficult to say no, but stay strong!

I have shakeology every morning in my breakfast smoothie because it's an easy vegan option for me (I work 45 minutes away from home so I can't go home between PT and work). I don't use it as a weight-loss tool, just as food. I don't have any complaints about it. It keeps me full until lunch and thats difficult for me! I…

It is entirely possible that he's not doing the type of cleanse your mind (and mine) immediately goes to when we hear the word "cleanse" (unnecessary magical pills, crazy diet drinks, etc...). It may very well be as simple as him cutting out meat for a week. Different people have different definitions of a body cleanse.…
