I got my copy the other day. It's amazing. For the last 15 years I have struggled with the last 15 pounds. I stuck to a 1200 cal. day diet, worked out 5-6 days a week and continued to lose muscle but no weight. At 60 yrs old I have osteoporosis, hypothyroid etc. I now realize I have been in starvation mode for all these…

This is my second week too and I'm having the same problem....who would ever guess it would be so hard to eat enough? I'm going to keep on the path though.

This is a great thread. I started with the increase about 5 days ago. I have not lost, but haven't gained either. I have tried the 1200 or less calorie restriction for about 15 years to lose 15 pds. It has not worked no matter how hard I have tried. This makes sense. I am committed and thankful to have found this site.

I just made one with natures sunshine love and peas protein powder, pb2 , starbucks instant coffee, and a little almond milk instead of cottage cheese. I didn't add sweetener and it was perfect for my taste. I would think agave sweetener would be good if you want to sweeten it. The pb2 is probably what makes it a little…

I love the program but I struggle with eating so soon after I wake up. I am used to eating mid-morning but after 1 week on the diet the scale is finally starting to go down! I have upped my protein this morning and I am curious to see how my day goes.

I have practiced yoga off and on for about 15 years. I love all kinds of exercise but there is nothing like yoga. I am now taking a yoga fit class 3 times a week and have worn a heart rate monitor to get an idea of calories burned. I average about 350-360 calories a session (70 min) I am 59 and It is amazing how my…

I started on 50 mg of synthroid almost 3 months ago. So far I haven't noticed any change at all. I go to the Dr. in a few weeks and wonder what kind of test you are talking about (caloric rate test) How do they test for that? Also, I hadn't been eating the calories expended from exercise and after reading some of the posts…

I have a polar f7 model with a unit that I can download into my computer after workouts. It works great and I use it for all activities with comfort. The chest strap is made with material instead of the old style plastic ones that were so uncomfortable. It cost about $150.00 for both. It's a great motivator and helps me…

I just joined 2 weeks ago and have the same question. I haven't been eating my exercise calories and I have not lost a pound. After reading some of the older posts, it sounds like I am in starvation mode. I started yesterday with trying to eat all of the calories allowed. I guess I will have to be patient and see if it…
