*waves* Hi, I just wanted to take a minute to thank Dave for his support this past 5 weeks. It has been terrible on my body with the lack of dedicated exercise, extreme stress, and fast food eating caught whenever we left my MIL's bedside. And very noticeable when I crept above Onederland. :frown: Even though I dropped out…

My goal for March is the same 75. I'm determined to make my goal this month.

A pound of minced beef in my supermarket is $4 for 75/25 fat and $6 for 90/10. Ground Pork is fairly fatty too. What I generally do with higher fat content mince is to brown it straight away in some garlic powder, then drain it in a colander (sieve) & rinse the excess fat off. It doesn't seem to take away the flavor and…

Hey, guess what... I got in 8 miles this weekend! There was a bit of coughing and panting but I prevailed. I have 34 days before a girls get together in Chicago and I'll need to be able to walk at least a mile without stopping every 20 feet. February 1-2 Walking: 3.5 Miles Biking: 5.0 Miles Total: 8.5 Miles edited…

Even though I was short in January for a second month in a row (boo!me) I'm going to set my goal for 75 miles again. Got another 35 minutes in today playing frisbee with the retriever, the puggle had absolutely no interest. Happy February everyone.

So i was >just< short on January and I feel pretty good about it. :ohwell: I'm still coughing like mad with exercise, and I'm in bed at an insanely early time. Yesterday I played frisbee with the dog for 45 minutes and today was about 35 before the cold drove me in. But every day is better than the last in some way so I"m…

I have the Runtastic but it doesn't sync with any other programs. I'm looking at the Polar as it syncs with everything and they are about the same money.

When I'm ill, I eat what sounds good. As a rule it is about 2 pieces of toast, then back to bed, rinse & repeat 2-3 more times. It only lasts a day or so then I get back on track. Your body is burning calories fighting off infection so you do need to replace those. Just look at it as a free day(s) and not sweat it too…

Best movie EVER!!!

I am starting to feel better. My miles for last week aren't the best but, I'm moving. YAY for getting in roughly a mile a day last week walking in short bursts. I'm trying the elliptical tonight at the Y and possibly trying for getting back on the bike. Walking: 25.28 Miles Biking: 26.0 Miles (a big fat goose egg…

I have only one mile to report for last week. This allergy/asthma issue I had turned into a confirmed case of honest to God Influenza, one of many in our county. And the cure is actually worse than the illness as I am also one of the many that doesn't tolerate Tamiflu well. /joy/ Of all the luck... Walking: 17.12…

Had a great day, the weather broke enough to run about with just a hoodie (others had light jackets on). I was able to walk 2 miles and bike 8. I hope your Saturday went well everyone and your Sunday is equally successful. Update: January 1-11 Walking: 15.5 Miles Riding: 26.0 Miles Total: 41.5 miles.

I love Carlton.

I did 3 miles on the bike and 1/2 walking around the track before I was done in and completely out of breath and seriously pondered the idea of the rescue inhaler. I thought I was more recovered than I actually am and have stayed away from all things allergy/asthma inducing. :frown: Dave--I'm going to have to move my goal…

The trolls always take my right one. Maybe we should get together and make some pairs??

I hope you are all warm out there. We've had been fortunate enough to have been hovering around -50 off and on today. :noway: Make sure you bundle up. January 1-6 Walking: 9.88 Miles Biking: 15 Miles Total Miles: 24.88 Miles

5 miles on the bike tonight and I am *WAY* out of breath. I think it's going to take me a while to get back to pre-asthma/allergy attack. I feel as week as a kitten, but I will prevail.
-
I was just short of my December mileage, but I am confident that I would have made it if I hadn't had an unexpected food allergy beat me up. All you rock stars that exceeded your goal, :smokin: Congratulations to everyone that made their goal! :flowerforyou: For everyone else that didn't, let's try to make it…

Sign me up for 150 again.

I am definitely not going to make my goal this month...but that is okay, I'm good with where I am goal wise. January is another month and I *WILL* make my goal then. I had an allergic reaction to a power bar and possibly the curry I ate for lunch on Saturday. Yesterday and today was spent short of breath and dealing…

And, HEY! How about that, I'm the first post on a rolled over thread. :glasses: :drinker:
