Good Luck, Tex. I hope you pass. My youngest had his the 22nd (after being on the injured list for 7 months) and was not so stupendous.

You need some yaktrax Dave, they work pretty awesome. ...unless you forget to take them off when you go into the market, then...you fall on your *kitten* in the middle of the produce aisle and knock the apple display over. :blushing:

I had a nice long, rambling post going when the thread rolled over and deleted it. That will teach me. The gist is that the temps have dropped to the single digits with windchills in the -0° so I haven't many walking miles in. I only get a block or few before turning about so it is time to take it indorrs and hop…

Welcome, welcome Sandy.

Okay, I did not meet goal. I'm feeling much better but still have the cough and shortness of breath with strenuous activity. Fortunately, every day is a chance to start over and it is December 1st. November MYA$$ Miles Walking: 53.94 miles Biking: 50 miles 103.94 miles

Let's shoot for 150 miles, exercise bike and walking.

I'm hopeful everyone got their Black Friday goods and am looking to a successful Cyber Monday. I got about 5-6 miles in between yesterday and today. (And a new kayak but that's for the spring). I did notice some more coughing from the cold air to hot air but it wasn't bad. The Y will be opened back up tomorrow so that's…

I agree with having a once a week distance check-in thread. It would help the admins a ton I believe.
-
I think I've got it. =)

I love the smileys! (edited to try out new ticker that didn't exactly work)

*waves*:drinker: I felt much better towards the end of the weekend. I let my fitbit battery go dead, left it on the charger at work all day Thursday (still wearing the clip). I also have had several issues with my mobile MFP app not syncing since the new IOS update. BUT I finished the week pretty strong. And I'm not…

I'm alive and feeling better. And I've managed to get some exercise in but it isn't anything like I've wanted. I just don't seem to have the energy. Definitely recommend staying away from the flu/respiratory illness this year and the body aches and lethargy seem to last *FOREVER*! November Miles Walking: 33.67 miles…

Just popping in to say hi and I'm alive. =) Although it was touch and go there. I slept from 3p on Friday until 10a on Sunday other than waking to take some meds and eat something. I rested for the most part on Sunday and Monday too. I'm so glad this is a short week.

I have been battling a respiratory infection this past week so haven't gotten the miles in like I wanted. I was in bed by 7:30 last night and almost missed my alarm clock this morning. Miles for Nov 1-7 Walking: 12.53 miles Exercise Bike:15 miles Total: 27.53 miles

Congratulations to everyone who made their goal and for those that didn't, don't worry. The big part is at least you're moving. October Miles  Walking: 83.28 Biking: 158.2 Total: 241.48 I love how I get odd units as part of a mile. This month I did 121% of my goal and the results have shown.

Congratulations to everyone that has signed up for November. And for anyone participating in this MYA and #NaNoWriMo, good luck. I'm cheering you on because 50K words and exercising don't often go hand in hand, something always gets sacrificed. (edited for punctuation and to add my ticker) ~~**~~

Congratulations and excellent job. :flowerforyou: I walked my first one in October at around 50 minutes.

Rindy12, I do have a real bike but lack the coordination to ride it. I put all of my miles on the stationary and confuse the crap out of people when Runtastic logs it as an ergometer.

I'm in for another 200 miles for November. I also have decided to join Denise's No Scale November challenge (bluiz13) because I am constantly stressed about my weight instead of focusing on the fact that I can *now* wear a L tee and have it be a little baggy on me and a 16w jeans and have them gape at the back.
-
I have been pretty bad at posting my time. Courtesy of my Runtastic app logging my time on the exercise bike, through last night I'm at 13hours, 45 minutes, 51 second. That averages to 165 minutes per week. That doesn't include my walking, I don't use Runtastic when I walk the mall, I just make the loop, or when I'm at the…

Goal was met Monday morning walking out to my garage. So here are my numbers through last night. I am going to continue on strong today and tomorrow. Walking: 72.08 miless Exercise bike: 152.2 October miles: 224.28 miles!!!
-
Dave, will you please sign me up for another 200 miles in November?
-
I did *17* miles on the old exercise bike last night, my backside is feeling it today. So are my knees and thighs. =)
-
Oh, I have *just* missed my mark for the month but I will have it tomorrow. I would go and walk for more, but yesterday exhausted me. We walked just at 6 miles, went to a hockey match, climbed up and down three flights of stairs a multitude of times (steps counted but didn't show the flights of stairs on my fitbit), then…

I walked in our town's Paint it Pink 5K with a breast cancer survivor who was 4 weeks post mastectomy, at her pace with frequent stops of several minutes each, in 50 minutes. I think each person is different. You shouldn't try to do what 'X' did on your next 5K, but instead beat yourself.
