  • For anyone who is procrastinating, I was soooooooooooo unfit. Did Level 1 and could barely walk after the 1st day, had a couple of rest days and carried on, moved onto level 2 and am on day 9 now (I will be sticking on level 2 for a while yet!), still finding it really hard but I have lost an inch on my waist and hips and…
  • Glad to hear from others as well, we have a family meal between 6.30 and 7.30 pm and most of my calories are in this time (except the devil wine if I have cals left over), I lost two stone a few years ago in the same routine before more wine, too much chocolate and less exercise meant I put it back on. I don't feel…
  • I hate that abs oblique thing on L2. Had a rest day yesterday as knee and arm ached (more from the cold than any muscle thing I think but cold doesn't usually affect me, also had a massive headache so may have just been a general unwell thing!) so back on it today, Day 6 on L2 and it is slightly easier but still finding it…
  • About 2 weeks in, although I'd had a couple of rest days. On day 3 of level 2 and really struggling, but remembering I felt like this on Level 1 so I know I will get there eventually!!
  • I've also got about 50lbs to lose although first target is 28lbs and then look at my body fat % and re-assess, I live in quite a rural area so no gyms nearby and with a 4 year old to look after I'm doing a combination of Jillian Michael's DVDs, yoga and other stuff on Wii Fit, step aerobics on the bottom of my stairs and…
  • I logged 18 minutes of circuit, general under exercise. I now have a heart rate monitor (was 215 calories the last couple of days), like you I had to rest a couple times on Day 1, that jumping rope was what got me, but today (Day 10) I've got all the way through reasonably comfortably and have dropped to 198 calories burnt…
  • I'm at 215 now as well, only doing it 5 out of 7 days generally though as also doing step or the burn fat, boost metabolism DVD so I don't get bored (I'll need to stick at level 1 for more than 7 days although almost ready to go upto level 2 now)
  • Hello from deepest, darkest Herefordshire Feel free to add me :)
  • I'm the same age although got a bit more to lose, have sent a friend request
  • We ended up eating at 5.30pm and I calculated everything at 808 cals but with exercise that about 50% of my daily allowance, had one small glass of wine and with a light lunch I came in just under my net calories for the day.
  • My easy dinner is risotto, we always have mushrooms, onions, leeks and peas to use up. Yes I put a glass of wine in which will push up the cals a bit but it has plenty of flavour and I naturally eat smaller portions of rice and pasta. Anyway if you want my prawn risotto recipe: Fry one onion in about 2 teaspoons of oil,…
  • Definitely staying away from yorkies, have made apple sauce for the others but will steer clear of that, homemade stuffing worked out at about 50 calories for the portion I will have so its just weighing the roasties and calculating the gravy now. Didn't hike as far as hoped so will probably do some step when I get home…
  • I'm going for an hour long (maybe slightly less) hike through the woods to gain some calories back
  • I'm like that with roasties, will log the calories as I am cooking and will go for a walk in the woods to work some off I think
  • I did tell the other half to buy chicken but in his wisdom he got pork so in a spirit of no waste, pork it is. Will mainly bulk up on the veg, am avoiding the apple sauce, may well try the spray instead of a tablespoon of oil.
  • Hi Sarah I'm not quite in the Bristol area unfortunately but hopefully someone will reply and be your buddy Like you were, I am now 14 stone trying to get down to 10, had got down to 12 in 2011 but stopped exercising and logging and put it all back on. My first goal is to lose half a stone by the end of March as have a do…
  • I'm investing in a heart rate monitor to try to be able to monitor things a bit more accurately. I used to use livestrong to track and that has Wii Zumba at 471 calories per hour, there is a modern dance option in the exercise list but that uses less, you could google to check the rate as quoted above and if other sources…
  • I also cook my meals from scratch so have started weighing out my portions to control the calories, my vice is chocolate and wine. Fortunately when I count the calories I tend not to miss choccie too much as the calories just aren't worth it, although I may have a dark choccie treat every so often. Wine however is much…
  • Like you I'm not a big fan of diet foods, I'm still cooking all the same things but weighing out my portions to keep control of the calories, although I have switched to reduced fat creme fraiche instead of cream. Will probably also have a veggie risotto once a week or so although I do love my meat!!
  • Not from nottingham, but am a UK-er so have sent you a friend request. I lost 2 stone in 2011 using Livestrong to calorie count and a little exercise but over the last 12 months have put it all back on as slowly got back into bad habits and stopped exercising. Taking the exercise more seriously this time and find MFP…
  • New UK girl here too, haven't really gotten into the forums but mutual support is never a bad thing!
