  • I am probably more Paleo than Keto - although that maybe keto by default since I am trying to keep my carbs below 75... but I think its all (eating & weight loss) a mental game. I am a believer in the issues that grains cause, but I jsut heard of this documentary called "forks over knives" which says don't eat meat and…
  • bureau is a new england thing. :-) I can't speak to fillings, but I have had good luck using lettuce at the wrapper. Any type seems to work and that way I can say my calories for the filling.
  • I love this! I echo what everyone else said, what others think is about them. If you want to go - go. When I was 20 I was over weight and there was a gym at my job (I only saw fit people there), I used to try to go off hours where nobody else would see me and it started to get harder to avoid people and I actually became…
  • thank god that he showed you his true colors before you married him and had kids! I know it hurts now, but even if you lost all the weight *he* wanted you to lose - he'd find something else. He is obviously weak minded for that to influence him so much. Dump his sorry, spineless *kitten*, find someone who truely loves you…
  •
  • great thread! I echo: make is a lifestyle, not a diet! I've previously lost 128lbs and I'm losign it again (plus some) because I slowly went back to my old ways. I love the "think like a thin person" suggestion! ...and also "don't focus on the big picture" I have to constantly remind myself of that. I get over whelmed if I…
  • This is what I was goign to suggest. I drink only water and rarely herbal tea. Mostly I love just plain cool water it is so refreshing, but when I wan a little flavor I'll cut up a couple of strawberries or raspberries and it is great!
  • prepping meals in advance (sundays I make all breakfast & lunches for the week as well as bake sweets, roast cauliflour & mushrooms - so my dinner prep is very short & easy)and having hard boiled eggs available for when I can't get to lunch.
  • I'm curious as to what will come up too.
  • Friend request on the way Mike. I started leaning in to Paleo in Jan when I eliminated wheat and all refined sugar and in march dove in head first and I completed my first whole30.
  • great ideas!
  • hi, We prep food for the week on Sundays as well. Breakfast: I usually make a huge pan of scrambled eggs with lots of veggies (it is usually 50% greens - spinach or swiss chard and onion and sometimes pepper) adn divide it up in to 2 egg servings in small pyrex containers for myself to bring to work and a largert container…
  • Maasmondy & I started at the same time - I'm on day 37 as well... my only blip was a bit of bacon on sunday (day 34) that had some sugar in teh ingredient list... I am planning on sticking to it as well. my birthday is at teh end of the month so I will brobably have a treat then and may just jump right back on the whole 30…
  • THis is really helpful!! THank you for this post!
  • Thanks, this is helpful (mostly). It pretty much confirms my thought that everyone has their own definition.
  • McDOnalds is below the bottom - YUCK! no actual food is used int he manufacturing process
  • so is wheat flour, pasta, bread considered clean? Dairy - only full fat or any? raw?
  • We do too, 99% of what we eat we make from whole ingredients
  • i think you explained it well, that is what I would have thought too ... all ingredients that are whole foods, no chemicals or ingredients that you can't pronounce...
  • thats what I do... my food is usually much tastier anyway :-) make lunches you really enjoy then you won't be as tempted. My office orders pizza that is just averave... not worth it to me.
  • thats kind of what I was thinking... also is Taco seasoning (pre-packaged) clean? I wouldn't think so, and pasta, is that clean? I am not being sarcastic, I honestly don' tknow.
  • for the love of God, PLEASE get a new litter box!! ... or jsut don't do this at all, because YUCK!!
  • I love them sliced about 1/2" thick tossed in olive oil S&P and grilled! so yummy - just watch them and flip every few minutes, they tend to burn becasue of the sugar.
  • That is great! I started leaning in to paleo in Jan by eliminating wheat and refined sugar and March 4th started my 1st Whole30 which I completed 2 days ago, I am sticking to the whole 30 strictly for another 15 days and then I'll be adding, very minimally, some dairy to see what happens. contrats with your success, more…

I just seriously started trying to loose and get healthy in January 0 I've lose 29lbs so far... still a long way to go. enjoy this newborn/infant stage - it goes by too quick in a sleep deprived blurr... :flowerforyou:
  • how do you do the bacon wrapped dates? do you use raw bacon? how do yoiu cook them?
  • I started my whole30 in March and am on day 23 now. I am actually extending my whole 30 until April 17th to support a friend. SO far I love it.
  • its like city slickers (if your old enough to remember that movie) - you have to find your own "one thing". one reason it is worth it to you. for me, I want to be a healthy and active grandmother some day. My mom is 70 and she is frale and weak and my friends mom is also 70 and is active and enjoying life... i choose the…
  • ^^^^ THis! you have to make sustainable life style changes!! Even when you get to your goal weight, you are not "there". I lost 128lbs 9 years ago and now I am on MFP trying to lose it again... now focusing on making permanent changes and altering my food trying to figure out what will work for me long term.
