  • Twice weekly - became to obsessed with it. Now its averages out - but I do the same routine - weight same area, same scales, same clothes, same time.....blah blah. Weight is just measure, whereas you need to remember its how you feel that really matters.
  • Yes, done it now and again. Nothing major, but its that little devil on the shoulder moment. Helped psychologically for me, even though it wasn't the right thing to do.
  • Special K red berries. Holy moly!!
  • Sorry - Im well on the wrong side of Logans' Run age lol
  • This thread has been excellent.. I've really enjoyed reading all the comments and responses. been laughing - so funny. I think my own one that annoyed me most after losing a decent amount of weight to the point where people didnt recognise me - 'I liked you better before - you'll put that all back on and way more anyway'.…
  • As a person who works with East Europeans quite often, I find thats just the way they are. Very direct, and not very diplomatic. Clearly you havent ignored whats shes said, but on a positive just think of her as a verbal slimming aid lol. Dont take it to heart though.
  • I find you always need to keep a level of focus, but not go overboard and be hard on yourself when it goes pearshaped at times. Be aware of what your doing, but just try keep thinking ahead. Your diet doesnt fail after a few days - everyone has times when you just have break away for a while. Its not a bad thing, if…
  • I do 200-400-600 for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I dont eat before 8am or after 6pm. Everyones different, but this is to stop me having munchies and better sleep lol
  • 41 from Glasgow Scotland. With the amount of rain we've had this summer I'm investing in scuba gear.
  • Not sure about 'committed' comment to that degree earlier. However, being more realistic its accepting that you have to try and try hard - accept that every now and then you will have an off day. The greatest thing is learning not to let that one day spoil all the good work of the days previous. Good to see alot of great…
  • Thats excellent - love the picture record, you should be very proud of that :)
  • I have a good old Scottish accent like Gerard Butler (minus his looks, money and lady love appeal)- which is perfectly understandable, before any says otherwise lol. For me its who saying it, that makes the accent work or not. However, do find the french accent quite acceptable
  • I've used a combination of the little brother of Xenical product called Alli - 1/2 the dose, but seemingly same effects - and the Slimfast diet plan (as well as increasing the sensible, but not always practical at times due to my work - exercise. Walking was my own personal favourite if you have the time and suitable…

  • Good for you. Great quote. Good for it!!
  • lol - brilliant :-)
  • This is so true - being the proverbial 'fat friend' you get the cast offs from the skinny friend - so to speak (horrible I know). Actually, the people I've met through my fat friend days were actually great people, who, like me felt there were letting their skinny friend 'off the lead' lol!! Quite an unhealthy relationship…
  • Think this is pretty common. I have 2 guys at work who do the exact same thing daily. Its eat these chips, you look pale, thats not good for you etc. to putting biscuit on my desk, or chocolates etc. Just plain annoying. Your friend may be feeling a little vulnerable that your doing so well. People are just weird lol
  • SW - 183 lbs Week 1 - xxx lbs Week 2 - xxx lbs Week 3 - xxx lbs Week 4 - xxx lbs Total lost - xx lbs I'm in - I need inspiration.
  • Curves for me everytime. Everyones different as has been said a lot of times.
  • Dont be upset - but us guys have boobage too lol! I know I found it embarrassing when wearing t-shirt, and even though I've lost about 4st, I still dont have a 6 pack or flat front - and probably never will. Your boobs are part of your body and you adjust accordingly. Its not only about losing weight, its having the curves…
  • I had that problem as well. To be honest, losing weight or walking like a cowboy is the only options I could think of lol! Actually, I went on to shiny joggy bottoms - the smooth material helped the sliding. But that was a solution when my weight was going up the way. All the best - enjoy mfp - great help if you use it…
  • all the very best - hope to see you on the road with losing the excess. this is a great site with good people. Use the support wisely and it really does help.
  • I'm 5ft 9in and was 238lbs last May (probably a bit higher, but I dread to imagine lol!). I've been overweight and classed as 'obese' since I was 25 (now 40). So it was a real challenge for me to fight years of neglect of myself. Luckily, my girlfriend found inspiration/reason to lose weight and this helped me immensely.…
  • Just seen this post. Oh my god.! You look bloody lovely. If I were around your age I'd be delighted to have you by my side. Your BF is just young by the sounds of it - hes obviously not clued up in what you say to girl to make her feel good, or help her. As a guy you only learn this through experience or listening to…
  • Welcome. Enjoy the journey of weight loss - ups and downs are normal, buts its arriving at the destination thats important lol! Take care, Marky
  • Hi there - thats a good loss. Keep it up ;-) And welcome to the forum.
  • Thats the comment that drives me mad. People know I'm but still say it as if to try make you stop. Weird, how we all get the same things? Hang in there, whatever ;-)
  • As a guy I have to admit, that unless the change is pretty big I tend not to notice - but thats just me (blind lol!). I notice more things like hairstyles, makeup and stuff like that (strangely) - as thats usually a sign people are feeling good about themselves. Also, I have to admit - whilst I quite openly supportive and…
