Wayne, Congratulations to you for taking back your life! I know for myself, I have found the experience to be liberating. What has really helped me is reading lots of books on healthy eating. There is a lot of information out there and it can be overwhelming. Unltimately, I decided that a well balanced diet of fruits,…

YES it is :) That is how I did it. I did also cut back on my food intake by tracking calories on MFP. I try to change up my routes and through the process have discovered some great walking paths in my community. I use runkeeper.com to track my progress. That is great motivation.

I like a Wasa crisp bread topped with a slice of cheese. Ralphs grocery has a line of deli thin slice cheeses each one about 80 calories. With the crisp bread total caloreis is 120.

I say continue with the walking and work on increasing your distance and pace. The approach I am taking to my weight loss is to make permanent changes to my lifestyle that I will continue for the remainder of my life. I don't like to exercise but I really like walking. I have a long way to go and taking it slowly will allow me to lose the weight in a healthy manner and allow me to…

This is a little higher than normal because I did my biannual Costco trip to stock up on food items. In January I spent $313. This is for a single…

I have a pretty obsessive personality. Having to do lists I can check off keeps me on track. Knowing that I have to record everything I eat really helps. I use a different website, http://dontbreakthechain.com, to log everyday that I exercise and a few other healthy habits. Seeing progress keeps me motivated. So I also…

I "officially" weigh myself once a month on the 1st. This is the weight I record on my goal chart. I do also weigh myself a fews times each week just to check on progress each month. I like the monthly weigh ins so that I don't get too obsessed (which I am prone to do) on how much I am losing each week.
