Men (or women, for that matter) who cheat would cheat regardless of the reason. People who don't like their situation (but who are honest) either try to change it or get out. It's the dishonest people who want to have their cake and eat it too, who cheat. If you're a cheater, don't say "My spouse drove me to it" unless…

If my husband were to yell at me because he doesn't like what I cook (and then did not immediately proceed to apologize) then I'd gladly be divorced. Yelling at the person you supposedly love is NOT COOL. Really, if this guy was so unhappy over it, why didn't he bring it up earlier? Why did he do something so childish as…

But how will I get my money, then?

OK, I probably need new glasses -- I saw the title of this and thought you were having trouble blinging! and my first thought was, "How hard is it to put on more sparkly stuff?"

Wave at my kid (in the direction of Frankfurt) while you're over there!

I've been eating oatmeal with a teaspoon of peanut butter. For some reason, the peanut butter really keeps me from getting hungry early (the oatmeal alone didn't cut it). Plus it really tastes good. But then, I like peanut butter.

Oh wow! You look great! (and...I love the dress!)

I'm bringing flowers for everyone I work with (tiny vases with a few flowers each, less than 15 people) and I'll have a pocketful of heart-shaped lollipops for our clinc kids and random other people.. Then the hubs and I will either help my oldest child and her husband pack for their move, or we'll watch TV.

^^^This was me in my first marriage, except it was probably closer to 99% conforming (he really liked being in control to an unhealthy extent). I waited a long time in between partly so that I'd learn not to be such a pushover. This time around is much nicer. I'm all about the win-win solution (and good at finding them),…

No band, but when I saw the title, I thought you were talking about losing weight with a lap dance! :noway:

I'm an RN -- do research studies for Cystic Fibrosis.

Yes, that eye opening thing really helps me, too! I love this site.

I do wear them to the gym. However, my ultimate plan is to start lifting once I get my medical release; then I will likely leave them at home. If it gets much bigger, I'll have to have the engagement ring resized (apparently my weight is coming off my hands and face first). My wedding band is a fede ring, so it can't be…

There have been a few times this month that I wasn't hungry. The times I didn't eat, I was later TOO hungry. So now, if it's a regular time I would normally eat, I eat a little something. Since I've been overeating for years, I think my mind and body don't always correlate well. You should probably pay attention to how you…

My in-laws became my "out-laws" when I got my divorce. Mom-out-law said I could divorce her son, but no way was I divorcing her or the rest of the family. Can't tell you how much I love those people.

I think I must have watched this thing 90,000 times when my son was little!

I work in a pulmonary clinic, with people who have Cystic Fibrosis. A bout with the flu for most of them will mean at the very least 3 weeks in the hospital with IV antibiotics. Everyone who works in the clinic gets the injection (while not mandatory, all of us are acutely aware of the dangers of inadvertently exposing our…

When mine were Bs, I thought they were perfect, and would be terrifically happy to be that size again!

Congratulations! Enjoy your dinner -- you've earned it!

Are you kidding? My son is a single guy, stationed in Germany, in the Air Force; he's saved half his pay, loves his computer job, and has lots of friends to pal around with. I don't know too many 25 year old people who are debt free and have managed to save $25K on their own. It's been a nice transition into the working…

Talk to a recruiter. When my son joined 3 years ago, there was a wait list for some branches. His recruiter met with all the wannabees every Saturday and they'd all exercise and run. This motivated my kid to do more on his own time, so that by the time he went to boot camp he was much more fit. If you are not quite fit at…

Good for you!

My ex and I had joint custody but he was still obligated for child support. We had filled out worksheets specifying what our expenses were and that's what the child support was based on. If there had been any way for him to get out of it, he would have. He also had to supply their necessities when they were at his house…

Likely you are not retaining water unless you are eating lots of sodium. If you are retaining water it will show in your fingers, ankles or feet...and if you are retaining water, you might want to check your blood pressure.

My kids used to take yogurt in their lunches to school. If you freeze it the night before, it's just right by the time lunch rolls around AND it keeps the other things in the lunch bag cold (if you send lunch meat, for instance; I wouldn't put meat in a lunch unless it can be kept cold enough not to spoil). If your…
