Level 1 of 30 Day Shred has lots of leg work. Lunges, squats, side lunges, Jump roping (works my calves). If you want something to do at home, it would probably be worth your $9 and 20min a day to buy it :)

Props to you, you must be in pretty good shape if Jillians not kicking your butt!! I am sure it probably depends on your fitness level. I am not in very good shape and have quite a bit of weight to lose and I am drenched in sweat when I am done and my heartrate seems pretty high. I dont have a heartrate monitor and I dont…

OMG, I just started level 2 last night and those V-Fly's killed with my 3Lb Weights!
-
I used 3's and they were too easy for some of the moves and other's they were just right. I'd say get 3's and 5's and change it up. I just started level 2 last night and there is no way I could use anything heavier than the 3's for quite a bit of it! So make sure you at least have something that light.

funny you mention that. I just got done eating one for the first time! I put it on crackers and their was just enough to spread on 5 whole wheat ritz and it was a great afternoon snack. AND best part, they dont have to be refridgerated so I can keep them in my desk at work :)

I have the nordictrack E5Vi. It has an adjustable stride which is good considering I'm only 5'2" LOVE It, very quiet, and I thought affordable. I got it at Sears and they matched the cheapest price that I found online. It's fairly streamline which might be good for you living in an apartment. I did quite a bit of research…

I have a half of a whole wheat bagel with peanut butter and a glass of milk

Thanks for all the encouragement. I am going to stick with it and see what happens. Also Luvslife2, I think I will take your advice and try not to go over my 1400-1500 calories even if I've earn more than that from exercise. I work out at night so sometimes I feel like I am having to snack to hit my calorie goal and that…

I get migraines and my chiropractor recently put me on a vitamin supplement called Myocalm (just google it) I take six pills a day when I am feeling tension coming on (which results in a screaming migraine). When I am feeling fine I always take 2 at night before bed (based off of Chiro's suggestion) This is a miracle…

drink more water and take a look at your levels of carbs protein etc. Sounds like your blood sugar might be a little low? I dont know what fixes that but I think headaches can be a symptom. Sorry I'm not much help!

I just started it this past Monday. Definetly do the modified version and stretch your quads extra at the end. I was VERY sore. I started Monday and was down 1.5Lbs today. I am also supplementing 20 min on my elliptical every other night and netting 1200 calories. Was hoping for more but every Lb is a Lb closer to my goals!

try to guess what you might get and log before you go! I ate a burrito from Hot Harry's (similar to pancheros or chipotle) last week and it was horrible! I was thinking everything in it probably wasnt too bad (chicken, black beans, rice lettuce, just a little cheese, etc) and then when I came home and logged, the dumb…

VERY inspirational. I am 187 right now and am shooting for where you are! Nice to see the transformation!

I was really sweaty after my 1st workout and my heartrate was up! I am not sure of your situation, but I have a decent chunk of weight to loose and am not very active so it was a hard workout for me. I think once I get into it a little more and and my legs stop burning, it will be a great DVD for me. Especially for the…

Thanks Ladies! I'll watch my form on the squats...and for some reason the "jump roping" was really hard for me. The Shred is only to supplement my regular elliptical cardio and to change things up a bit. I typically do 30 min of elliptical every other night and want to fill the shred in the off night so I dont get bored on…

That does seem high. Where do you have your activity level set? My daily intake is 1200cal. That was with a starting weight of 191 and sedentary job (I spend most of my day at my desk) but then the rest chasing around my 19month old.

Stephanie, I don't have alot of time to get online on Saturdays so hopefully you are ok with me checking in on Fridays? Hope everyone has a wonderful…

Reduced Sodium soy sauce isnt horrible and you could put some Pineapple Chunks or Mandarin Oranges in to "sauce it up" and give you the sweet taste that you are probably getting from the jar sauce.
-
push through the soreness it will make you get better faster... and drink TONS of water. That might be the reason why you are so sore!

I have a Nordictrack that I got at Sears last year. They price-matched it for me for the lowest price that I found online (around $600 if I remember right). Although it has not gotten major use, it holds up to me well (I weigh 192) and does not have any squeaks or wobble at all. I read alot of reviews in that price range…
