Yeah, those crisps are good. I eat them with hummus and they taste great!

Have candy in my pantry and not eat it, run for 30 minutes straight.....and I can fit in that dress I couldn't fit into 30 days ago! :)

I used to have a cheat day on weekend. However, that really interfered with my weight loss. In one of the posts here I read that if you are allowed 1500 calories a day and then you binge on a cheat day and consume 3000 calories, you are effectively eating approximately 1700 calories a day....or those additional calories…

I have a sweet tooth problem too and I have found that fruit (although sweet) are not the same as desserts. I buy bite size candy (Dove dark chocolate promise squares are my fav). You can work in one or two in your daily allowance (Dove is only 45 calories per square). Also, because they're individually wrapped, I don't…

What did you nutritionist say? Is your calorie intake monitored. I was in a similar boat. I didn't work out as much as you, but I was running 3+ miles 4-5 days a week but wasn't losing weight for months. It all came down to calorie intake. If you consume more calories than you burn, the weight won't come off. Once I…

This is a great idea! I'll try this.

I eat a couple of Dove dark chocolate squares. One piece is some 45 calories or so. It's rick, creamy, and under a 100 calories.

I'm 35. Feel free to add me.

I don't think it necessarily demonizes food and makes exercise punitive, if you take the OP's comment about thinking twice away. I think the chart, by itself, is quite informative. I would love to have this chart, especially to be able to eat those treats. It can one plan their food. For example, I can eat two candies and…

I really liked In Defense of Food my Michael Pollan. He talks about eating everything, but eathing more natural and unprocessed food and about portion control. Talks a lot about eating habits of people in cultures where there's very little obesity (like French, Asians, or Americans before the 70s, etc.). Quite an…

My old clothes fitting me again Wanting to be in pictures (and not trying to hide behind another person) Walking into a store and being confident that most clothes (if not all) would fit More energy

Because I went over my daily calorie allowance yesterday. I have to make up for that.

Thanks everyone for helpful tips. I was planning to give some away, but I also like the ideas of freezing and packing them in snack-bags for my daughter to take to school. That way they're already packed for her and I won't take them. Of course, I will try to fit a treat or two in my daily allowance....:)

Oh yeah! Welcome to my world. Started dating a guy, eventually got engaged, and he's not my husband. I love him to death, but he's definitely bad for my weight gain...lol...hence I'm taking help from MFP! :)

I always keep pita pockets and hummus in the house. They have a great shelf life. I would often spear hummus in the pita pocket and then stuff it with left-over dinner or chopped salad with feta crumbles. Makes for quick, tasty, and filling lunch.

I have it too. I got diagnosed about 4 years ago and soon after the diagnosis, I got pregnant. So between the weight I had put on initially plus the baby weight, I have a bunch of weight to lose. What I have noticed is that for me, hypothyroidism has made losing weight difficult but not impossible. When I am very careful…

If you hate it then just ignore it. No one is imposing it on you! :)

Thanks!! I hope I can get to that place some day. For now, I just have to avoid those foods in order to stay on track.

Okay so this post has generated some passionate responses like the ones above. My intention was not to blame the food or promote total denial or anything like that. I'm at a place on my journey where I am unable to stick with moderation. I thought this quote will help me stay motivated to avoid foods until I'm at a place…

I hope to get there one day.....

That's true. However, I am not at that place yet. I often find myself going for seconds or eating large piece of whatever it is. For me, right now, it's best to stay away and then I can have a treat over the weekend or something. Hopefully some day I will be at a place where I can just eat very small helpings of treats and…

I wish I could....cheesecake does taste pretty awesome. But that awesomeness lasts a few minutes, feeling thin/fit lasts forever!

:D Done....thanks!

YEAH....I like that one more too.....Nothing tastes as good as fit feels!! I'm officially changing the title of this tread.....if it allows me to....
-
Because I stayed on track yesterday! I would waste yesterday's efforts if I go off track today....

That's amazing and very inspiring!!! You look great.....
