I am 5ft 1" and aiming at this stage for about 132lb or about 60kg. When I get there I will re-evaluate.

Actually I will say a very large energetic dog got me going. I suddenly found that the best way to have peace at home was to exercise the dog. So I started walking him and then along came a challenge, a walking one through work for two months. Once that was over and I had lost about 5kg and felt so good I decided to look…

Really enjoyed it and well done! Loved the little inspirational sayings included. Thank you for posting.

I am enjoying using it too. I was exercising before I joined but when I decied to look into the food side I was kindly directed here by one of my now friends on here (Thank you Heather). But I agree that it has made me read labels and research as well as opening my eyes to the variety of foods and menus (thanks to my…

Do you think we under estimate our activity when we first start out? Originally because I do work in an office at a desk, I had myself as sedentary until I read the road map message. So I changed my activity level as I do walks during the day and it upped my calories which meant I was not feeling as hungry and have lost…

I am 5ft 1in so feel free to add me. I had to convert the ft and inches to cm when I started and converted wrong. I had myself shorter in cms than I actually am. I only realised a few days ago and updated my profile and goals.

I joined just before Xmas and am enjoying being on here. I know it is a slow but so far seems a steady trip but reading other peoples experience and succeses is so comforting to know that I am not alone and can do what I have set out to do if I keep my mind on it. I have few good friends on here but feel free to add me if…

Thanks for your input. I think I may have worn out one of my favourite pairs of walking shoes (they are x-trainers) and they were the ones I was wearing the day I started have the problem. Hopefully cutting back on the walking a little (I feel too guilty if I dont any at all) and wearing new shoes will help the problem…

Are your feet painful? Mine aren't but it is just a weird sensation. No loss of sensation, just more sensitive.

So maybe just needs more time? As I am not in any pain I still walk although I have cut the walking back a little. I have been walking everyday since Oct last year and this is the first time I have had any problem with my foot/feet. I have good walking shoes.

I had another today. My new work uniform arrived today and I have to send it back as it is now too big.

A couple of weeks ago I went out to the movies and was pleased that I fitted comfortably in the seat. Embarassing a little knowing that I was uncomfortable before but not admitting it to myself so pleased to admit that the comfort was there for the first time in a long time so that was my NSV, hopefully more to come ;-)

Awesome effort, its great to read of people and their success. Real inspiring for those starting the journey. Thank you for sharing.

I have two dogs and I walk them seperately so that means double the walks for me at the moment. I am pleased to see that people have used the simplist and freeist exercise and lost weight. I also do short spells on the push bike which will get longer, just getting one of the dogs used to coming with me. But I sure do enjoy…

Thank you for sharing. A real inspiration showing what you can do if you put your mind to it.

Cool to see other kiwis and hear from people all around the world.

Hi back at Valmon, I guess you are in winter now too? I just saw my post had some asteriks, I am so used to dog talk and dont find a female dog word in that context but MFP must so the hidden word is females

I have German Shepherds for years now, always *****es. I have also done extensive showing, obedience and trials with them. But I have gone right out of that except for the odd bit of breed or GSD showing and having an energetic young male dog has really given me a new perspective on dog owning and certainly a good excuse…

Thank you for the welcome and lovely to hear there are fellow kiwis here. Yes the dogs are a good motivator especially if one is an 18 month old brat that if not exercised drives me and his mother (I bred him) nuts so it was a must do getting him and exercised but of course I reap the benefits, nice calm dog at home home…
