I shop at different places - honestly I am a shopaholic and it my shopping habit has been made so much worse now by the fact I fit in cute clothes. I just shop around though and try and find sale items or just general things I like, but some my favourites are Zara,Topshop,Forever 21, Miss Selfridge, H&M :)

"You won't lose any weight eating bananas". ^ Yes loser I've lost 65lb and have had a banana basically every day since I started. I also have a friend who refuses to eat more than 5g per fat a day because she believes that is key to losing weight.

Northern Irish girl here - although I go to uni in England so it's my 2nd home now! :)

I try to avoid it but it is half price in the UK (in tescos!) at the moment so I just couldn't resist picking up some cookie dough tonight for my "special treat".

I have a bike (I am a campus university student) but it wouldn't really be suitable for long biking trips and right now I think even that would hurt my knee. I don't know because I haven't tried but the pain comes from bending the knee, even when really I don't have any weight on it.

I eat ~200g carbs a day (wholemeal bread, wholemeal pasta, potatoes, noodles, porridge) and have lost 60lb. I literally could not go without carbs, when I try cutting them out I get so cold and hungry. Yes I understand I'm still young and may be lucky that my metabolism allows me to do this - BUT, if I had cut out carbs,…

Everyone looks fantastic and so different! Here are my face comparisons. 11 months ago Now

Reading these comments has been so encouraging, I know if I ever feel down or doubt myself again I can come back and look at this thread - thank you everyone! <3

Thank you, all of these lovely comments are so sweet! I hope I can inspire a few more people to reach their weight loss goals.

Awh, I'm so happy seeing this could have made your day better! :-) You can do it, I had LOTS of horrible days where I thought I couldn't do it but the key for me was realising it was a lifestyle change and not just a silly "diet", it didn't matter if I did badly one day because I was in this for life because I now enjoy…

NJ64A- Thank you. Also, yes I do realise that now. The confidence thing is something which will take a while to develop for me. I was just so used to being the "bigger" girl I assumed that necessarily meant not pretty. I know now it's not true but I'm still having trouble adapting to myself differently. "Pretty" is…

Thank you! You can definitely do it too, just one step at a time :-) I still enjoy my food and have lovely meals, I just take better note of what I'm eating and as I said, make sure I'm exercising (although after today I think I will have to take a few days off haha!)
-
Thank you everyone. Oh I forgot to add, I'm 19 & 5'7 tall. :-)

I'm 19 and have recently lost 60lb. Feel free to add me! <3

First picture around 185lb. Now at 135lb. Everyone looks incredible! <3

Actresskat you remind me of Florence from Florence & the machine.

Sell them on ebay! A lot of my old clothes have funded some of my new smaller items. Some other things I give away to charity shops or friends who are bigger (although I find it difficult to do that because I don't want to offend anyone by saying oh look its too big for me now but still fits you!). I don't see any point in…

I couldn't have put it better myself! <3 WTG, you have done fantastically!

I think 4 and 6 look too skinny. To me 5 doesn't look as bad as 4, seems more athletic. The "nicest" to me to is 2. I have been struggling with this recently too. My collarbone and ribs do stick out like crazy but I still have a bit of a belly that I need to tone and I still weigh 134lbs (completely healthy for 5'7). But…

For me, it just took time. It took a good few months of forcing myself to exercise before I began to enjoy it. Now I love my daily run and wouldn't be without it. But I think as well you just need to take time to find the thing that you enjoy also - for me it is outside running because I can appreciate the calm and the…

Wow what a difference a month makes! You are really my inspiration to really get my act together and start some proper weight training soon. You look incredible!

Northern Ireland here too :) xx

Hi, I'm 5'7 and around 135lb. I started off at 185lb but have lost 60lb! I am not trying to tone up like you and am also training for a half marathon. Feel free to add me! :)

I'd guess late 20s.... 28?

I love cereal but I've found recently it just doesn't fill me up enough in the mornings anymore. Since I've switched to porridge I manage to feel so much fuller for longer. I used to eat Special K and I loved but it didn't fill me up for long at all and the "serving suggestion" of 30g I just found was never enough. Now I…

Porridge. Takes 2 min to make in the microwave and you can get those sachets so it's super easy, just add milk. I usually microwave for a minute, added some squashed banana, microwave for another minute and then chop the rest of the banana over the top of the porridge. I have experimented with many cereals over the year,…

@tashakk86 you remind me of a younger renee zellweger :)

I started at 185lb and now am around 138lb. I'm happy with where I am but would love to tone up a little more and eventually get down to around 130lb. Here are some before pics (less than a year ago) and now. after

I'm 19 and also a college (university) student. Been using MFP for almost a year now and lost over 50lbs.
