I agree! It all depends on your body type and bone structure. I am 5'10" and currently 195 (after losing 22lbs!). My doctor said my goal should be between 180-190. I'm 34, 5'10", and my goal weight is 180 (I honestly don't think my weight could get lower than that). I joined 5 weeks ago and have lost 10 lbs. Pretty happy so far! Interested in connecting with others eating about the same amount of calories that I am (1700-1800).

I have been vegetarian for 15 years. Would love to connect with more on here and get meal ideas. I find myself always hungry and constantly snacking since joining MFP. I think I need to up my protein.

Hi! I just joined a few weeks ago and have already lost 7lbs. I am 34, 5'10", and currently 210lbs. My goal weight is around 180. I honestly don't think my body is capable of going below that. I am a long-time vegetarian but struggle sometimes to get my protein, too. Some good ideas: nuts, nut butters (in small amounts), beans (veggie chili), tofu (I do low-fat tofu stir fry with lots of veggies and brown rice), soy milk, reduced-fat cheese, and whole grains if you can eat them.
