It isn't lunch time yet, but I'm at work and have a packed lunch, so... Roasted vegetables (shredded carrot, courgette, onion, aubergine, mushrooms, bell pepper) with black eyed beans, and sweet chilli sauce. A pot of mirabelle plum slices soaked in a little bit of honey for after.

I had peanut butter and a drizzle of honey this morning, with some almond milk sloshed in. :) I love it best with nuts or crunchy nut butter, or seeds at a push. Just something crunchy. A mashed or finely sliced banana works nicely too.

:flowerforyou: Ladies... I'm very overweight, but I am starting to see some definition in my arms when I flex now. My legs have always been muscular (comes from walking miles with a 20KG child on your back I guess!), but I'm only really just noticing that now.

Fantastic! I'm so delighted to see this post, and for you. I'm a big girl lifting too - I decided to give it a try when I joined a gym earlier this year, and it was love at first lift.

Oh, tell me about it! Nothing worse. I thought I was reasonably fit and flexible too, until I started lifting. I made sure to eat well (plenty of protein), stretch thoroughly, and rest. Keep at it though. It's so hard at first, but gets easier very quickly I promise.

I get my 3 year old involved. She lifts weights with me (I use a barbell, and she uses an empty dumbell without any weights on), we jog together, we follow fitness DVDs, we go for long walks and race. I'm ordering a new hoop soon so we can hoop together. I get to fit in more workouts, and she's learning how to keep active…

I've never been with someone younger than me, or my own age for that matter. The minimum gap was 4 years, and the largest was 20. My current partner is 11 years older than I am. I've pretty much always found people my own age to be frivolous and irritating, and surrounded myself with people older. Never said never to…

Squats are a great lower body exercise, so it should definitely help with tone and strength there if you're doing it properly. I guess it depends on what you're hoping to get out of it though.

On work days I have oats for convenience. Today was oats, hemp milk, peanut butter, a sliced banana, and a drizzle of honey, with a cup of tea.

My dad passed away a few weeks ago, although very suddenly. A few weeks previously he'd been released from a short hospital stay in better health than he'd been for years, all's well, and then he's dead. I'm definitely still coming to terms with it, I don't think it has really hit me yet to be honest. Mostly, I've tried to…

We have a dining table, it's a new addition in recent months. It's covered in 40K miniatures and boxes full of paints. We usually sit on the sofa, or better yet have a living room picnic on the floor. My daughter and I stay with family on the days I work though, as I work in a different town/free childcare, and we'll…

Typically 3 small meals and as many snacks as I fancy. I tend to be grazing most of the day, I don't like to sit down and eat a big meal.

I'm a typist/admin, so while there's always something to do I can get pretty bored. I have an audiobook playing on headphones most of the day and can still get on with typing.

Cautious hello. ;) I'm not on the forums here much these days, but am into lifting so why not! I've been overweight a long long time, but gained A LOT of weight over the winter and decided I had to do something about it. I joined a gym in April and have been going 2-4 times a week, whatever fits around life with a small…
