They can open on Sunday now, but only until 5 pm. They can open on holidays too. And I think they can stay open until 9 pm. Not all of them do, some stick to the old schedule.

In Connecticut. Soda, grinder, firefly And the store where you buy liquor? That's a package store or packy!

I switched to a coffee protein shake. Almond milk, cold coffee (instant or brewed), 2 scoops chocolate protein powder, and sometimes some sugar free syrup. Makes a good approximation of an iced mocha, with a lot less calories, plus protein and fiber. I just can't do black coffee, but without caffeine I'm dead in the water.

Everything is an estimate, even an HRM. It's just a better estimate! Could you burn that many calories? Sure. If I ride my bike for 3 1/2 hours, I can burn 1500 calories. I have switched to the TDEE - 20% method. You base your calorie intake on your weekly activity level including exercise, and don't eat back any exercise…

The best thing I've found for insect bites is the stuff you spray on for sunburn, I think it has lidocaine in it. Of all the things I've tried, and I've tried a lot, that seems to work best.

I don't remember where I was for the trial verdict, but I remember where I was when the "car chase" was going on. I was in a bar, there was a big screen TV behind the band tuned to the chase, and the band played Hey Joe and dedicated it to OJ. *laughs* Hard to believe it was that long ago.

I log things as exercise if I wear my HRM, and am really working hard. I mow my lawn with a reel mower, that takes a couple of hours, so that gets logged. Digging up new beds, moving rocks and gravel, I wear my HRM and log. Weeding and general gardening I don't log. It's pretty much personal preference, I think.

I just cooked rice today. 1 cup dry medium grain white rice made about 3 cups cooked rice for me. So I would guestimate that 1/4 cup dry would make about 3/4 cup cooked. Or you can do as the previous poster says and just portion it out after cooking.

If you are staying under your calorie goals, the slower loss could just be your body getting used to the new exercise. That happened to me when I upped my biking. I didn't lose a thing for about 3 weeks, and then lost quite a bit, and it keeps coming off! Just keep on doing what you are doing, as long as the weight is…

This. I am trying to establish something I can maintain indefinitely. I fit my favorite foods into my plan, so no need for cheat days. My attitude is that if I'm not going to give something up forever, I'd better figure out how to make it fit into my goals.

Just finished Season 2 last night. The ending, OMG sooooo great! Can't wait for Season 3. I'm sure I will rewatch Season 2 at least once before the third season starts!

I like to make crustless quiche, with veggies and cheese. Combinations are pretty much endless, you just can't use anything with too much moisture or it gets soggy. It freezes really well, I was surprised! Just take it out of the freezer, defrost, and done!
-
Have you increased your exercise? When I started biking more, I suddenly got REALLY hungry the day after. I ended up increasing my calorie allowance, and am still losing steadily.
-
Younger for sure! I was afraid at my age (47) losing weight in my face would leave me with more wrinkles. I actually have less! I think a healthier diet, more water, and better circulation due to exercise improves everything.

Sending you a friend request! Fellow bike rider!

I totally sympathize! I have plantar fasciitis too. What is saving me is biking. I can bike as much as I want and it does not bother my feet. I used to run, hike, backpack, but I really can't do those things any more. It sucks! What has helped for me is wearing shoes with the superfeet green insoles pretty much any time…
-
Actually thanks for this! I am going to stop for a free donut after my bike ride today. Nothing wrong with a donut once in a while!
-
When I started biking quite a bit, I hit a plateau for about 3 weeks. Now I am losing pretty steadily again. I also agree you need to fuel these workouts! That's an awfully low calorie allowance, I'd be seriously hangry exercising and eating that little.

Another person with a RHR in the mid-50's. I walk and cycle for exercise.
-
Same here, and I am losing just fine, and feeling great! I do use the TDEE - 20 method, because I like to be able to eat the same amount of calories each day. I find that works better for me.
-
I like the stats too. I can't believe I'm the only participant from my town! Can't ride every day, but have been upping the miles. So glad I joined this!

Sending you a FR!

Hair almost down to my waist. I just braid it.

You could make a strawberry rhubarb compote. I like to use half as much rhubarb as I do strawberries, and then I can use less sugar. Last time mine came out to 149 calories for a half cup serving, which really isn't bad!
-
Yes there is! At the bottom of the check in, there is "track additional measurements." You can add whatever you wish!
-
Well, you could look online to see if there is a calculator somewhere else specifically for that exercise routine. Honestly it's all estimates, even with a HRM. Just some are closer than others. If you still lose weight, it's all good. If not, then take a look at food intake or burn amounts.
-
MFP's calorie burn estimates are notoriously high. If you don't have an HRM, most people eat back half the MFP burn. Hope this helps!

There is a fabric "garden bed" you can buy, amazon has it. If you can't dig up anything, you could put that down and fill it up with soil. If you moved, you could just empty it out and remove it! I have had great success with the fabric pots, I imagine the bed is just as good.

Garden beds keep expanding here each year. And I also grow some in large Smart Pots (fabric pots) on the deck. For herbs I have: cilantro, parsley, basil, tarragon, oregano, dill, chives, sage, pineapple sage, garlic, 2 kinds of mint. For veg I have: Carrots, lettuce, 3 kinds of peppers, tomatillos, Amish Paste tomato,…

I eat a lot of home made soups, which are easy to do vegetarian. Also chili, I use TVP (Textured Vegetable Protein) instead of meat, and you really can't tell the difference. I also often make bean enchiladas. All of these things freeze very well. I'm not a vegetarian, I guess flexitarian?
