How many times week are you going?

I would change my phrasing to "I don't eat donuts" and take out the word want. Try offering her healthy foods like an apple

I have heard a little about JJ virgin and I think her big thing is identifying food allergies. You limit several food types that tend to be responsible for food allergies then add them back in one by one. Perhaps this is the type of "cleanse" the op was doing? I'm not sure that going whole hog on eating lots of nutritious…

Try lactaid pills with your dairy and see if that helps. My daughter kept having stomach discomfort and she narrowed it down to dairy. Since she's been taking lactaid she's felt a lot better. Costco has a great price on their brand but you might start with a small pack to make sure it's gonna help.

I use the withings body scale. It's a Wi-Fi scale and syncs to my phone

For years I kept reading about diets that didn't involve calorie counting. I'm very type a and if I couldn't do it perfectly I didn't want to do it (i.e calories eating out etc) but I finally gave in because it works!

Enjoy some fruit. It comes with fiber! Berries are low sugar but very satisfying. Did you know raspberries are only 1 Cal each? I enjoy a bowl of half frozen strawberries with about 1/4 cup Greek yogurt. But my favorite sweet snack is Cara Cara oranges. They are amazing!

I quit eating sugar items (donuts cookie cake pie candy, sweet tea etc) 12/25/15. Cold turkey. I still eat fruit. I will very rarely eat a little honey or maple syrup like on a sweet potato.. Maybe 10x since I quit sugar. I eat bread that has sugar but I've also cut way back on bread because it's a trigger food for me. I…

I have fibromyalgia and debilitating fatigue. I think caffeine only makes it worse because it puts your body on a roller coaster. I quit soda 2.5 years ago. I realized it was a trigger item. I set a date to quit. I had a friend who had quit drugs and he said if he can quit drugs I can quit soda. About 1.5 years ago I quit…

Realizing this is something I can have control over when the rest of my life is a hot mess. Coming here and reading held me keep goals in mind.

I really like this. I have up chocolate, sugar and sweets 1.5 years ago. I still miss it. And sometimes I think I can fit it in my calories. But I know it's a trigger. It's easier to abstain than moderate. I figure it will be there when I lose 40 more lbs of I want it then. Same with a few other food favorites. When I…

I highly recommend the instant pot. It's an electronic pressure cooker. I bought one about 6 months ago and wish I'd have known about then 20 years ago. It's like a fast crock pot. I typically use the saute mode first and cook some kind of meat and maybe onions or peppers then add a sauce and pressure cook about 20…

My family all works outside of the house. I work at home. We absolutely love the instant pot. It's a pressure cooker. Like a crock pot but fast and the food doesn't turn to mush. You can do any combo of meat with veggies and rice. If the meat is raw cook it then open and add rice or the rice will soak up all the water…

I buy almost all groceries there now. My Family feels many of the products are superior to name brand. Really like the dairy..Especially sour cream. They have wonderful baguettes. I've had to quit buying then because I could not resist slicing off a hunk to toast and add butter. So delicious. Naan is also a great buy. My…

I have a friend on pretty heavy steroid for a rare vasculitis who's lost almost 60 lbs over about a year. She tracks with mfp and keeps to a pretty low calorie budget and works to get 10k steps a day. Pretty inspirational.

Yea I have a pretty good setup. Im amazed at the account of stuff I've collected over the years..now to use it! I have the weight setup, numerous dumbbells, bands, treadmill, punching bag, dvds, wii stuff, kettlebells, etc. I have very low upper body strength so I think I'm going to make a bar out of pvc and sand to learn…

That is so exciting! I was a half pound away then stupid pms hit. Oh well..hopefully next week! The last time I was not obese was a brief time like 7 years ago after being sick. I remember instead of my Wii saying "that's obese!" it said "that's overweight" can not wait to hear those words again Lol

I was at a new low weight laat Monday. Add pms and i gradually went up7.5 lbs! Ugh felt like i was floating. I am slowly going back down this week. The body can hold onto a lot of extra fluid! I used to take care of a lot of patients in congestive heart failure and it was crazy the amount they would diurese.

Love it! I actually have a goal coat. I bought it as a teenager..like 25 yr ago. It was just a bit snug at the time. Rather than ever fitting into it...i just kept gaining. But I've never gotten rid of it because I loved it so much as a teenager..it's like this victory if it ever fits. Its terribly out of fashion now..but…

Great work. I'm sure it's been hard but you have gotten great results!

I have been successful with wii in the past as well. I used to work night shift and onm nights off i was wide awake with nothing to do so I'd play wii for hours. Now i have a day desk job with too many hours and haven't been active bit would love to. One off my favorite wii games is walk it out. Its a walking game. The one…

I quit it 2 years ago. Cut out all sugary foods 1 yr ago. Had a young friend who had cleaned up his life. He used to smoke weed and quit. He challenged me and said jokingly..ok you have soda and I'll have some weed. It worked! I installed an app that is to show days 'clean' from an addiction and treated it as such. I…

I don't think it's very realistic. That is over 3 lbs a week. 2 lbs is what is recommended max per week. Others will chime in on deficit..etc. You want sustainable changes or you work just gain it back. Don't set yourself up for failure.

Some of us like it toooo much. It's not very filling and it tastes delicious so it's very easy to over eat it. I have personally quit all sweets for over 1 year but I still eat bread... It's my weakness. The calories add up fast though.

You can do it! I haven't had soda in 2 years. No sugary foods in 1 year. I'm living proof it can be done.

5'5.5" was 215.8 at highest..currently fluctuating around 189. That has taken 18 months. Goal is 185 by Jan1. 175 by mid feb. Then final goal i think is 145. Been over 180 my whole adult life so we'll see.

Two thoughts: was130 too low? That seems low and maybe your body is trying to regulate back up. Second...I could not control sweets. One year ago this month I stopped cold turkey. It took me several weeks to decide when to stop and be firm in my commitment. I still look at them..sometimes the a sniff, and think that…

Read some posts here a while back that there is much less variance in smaller sizes than big ones. While you are plus size you have to list a significant amount more to go down a size. Once you are like a 10 or so you start to change sizes faster. I was 215 and a 16/18. More I'm189 and a 14/16..so it takes time. Looking…
