It means don't bash the OP. OP doesn't want realness or honesty in this thread. Make up happy lies. It's better that way.

exactly.

That chick's just a phony who's lookin' to knock that other girl out of the picture, bro. Don't buy it, man. Girl #1 is always 100% real; she even says so.

I have no detectable soul at all, and I'd be happy to say whatever will make you happy.

I won't even begin to pretend that I have the credentials to advise you on the safety of a 1000 calorie daily deficit, but I can definitely vouch for the fact that it works. I've personally been running a 1000 calorie per day deficit for months and I find it to be a perfectly livable solution for myself. Although it does…

I recently began taking creatine, and my brother-in-law has been using it for years. Basically, if you work out and gain muscle, you will not lose the muscle when you stop taking creatine. You will, however, lose the water bloat in your muscles. If you haven't actually gained any mass, then you'll deflate back to your…

Wow, this thread is still going?

I'm turning in for the night too. Goodnight, everyone!

Ok, so let's clear up the concept of fact vs. opinion. Here are some examples. Fact: Scientists have not found conclusive evidence supporting the hypothesis that aspartame is harmful to humans. Opinion: "THe I'm GOd attitudes really needs to stop." And for the record, none of us has the attitude that we are actually a…

Personally, I give more respect to the open-minded for considering new ideas and changing their minds over the course of their lifetimes. Even more than that, I respect those who are diligent in their studies, rigorous in their experimentation, and can back up their opinions with verifiable evidence. Read that previously…

I don't need to behave, or justify my behavior for anyone. I'm not sure that I even grasp the concept of 'bad behavior', other than to admit that I'm pretty bad. ;)

Fine... Diet soda is full of neutrinos and photons (of all the particles, really?). The liquid actually behaves as a wave-particle as you swallow and the vibration from the waves causes the soda to entwine with neutrinos in your gonads, causing terrible cancer.

Have you considered the possibility that I'm just not a 'nice' person? Perhaps I just troll the internet all day and break peoples hearts for fun. You know, I just love to be mean and argue. Perhaps tomorrow, I'll argue FOR energy healing and stuff, because that's just how mean I am.... Ok, does that sound ridiculous to…

Good guess. I'm leaning towards fairies, personally.

SO much anticipation! ....can't wait!

I'm wrong about TONS of things. And, if I offended you, then I apologize. However, if there's one thing I'm sure about, it's that I don't believe random claims about anything anymore. I don't just agree and swallow the cool-aid. I demand evidence. Not only does evidence provide support for my opinions on matters, but it…

I'm so glad that you brought this up. Did you know that diet soda is FULL of this stuff!

All great ideas have to face armies of people trying to disprove them. The armies have been created by bad ideas that have hurt people. I am one of those people. I used to believe in lots of silly things. These days, I'm more careful. In the end, all of us mean people on the forums are just looking out for you, and all of…

Not if she reads the book... ;)

I don't doubt that you, and your beliefs are sincere. I understand that you are not a fool. I only reject the notion of forming opinions based on tales of others experiences. Pick up that book that was recommended earlier in the thread. I think that you'll find that we have more in common than you know.

People could tell me about their first hand experience with voodoo, the holy spirit, bloody mary, demons, or bigfoot.... should I believe them?
-
In the absence of all the evidence that modern science has provided us.... YES!
-
When you read about skepticism, you'll learn about how this is anecdotal evidence, and is unreliable for numerous reasons. Seriously, what harm could learning a new subject do to you?
-
Hahahaha.... are you trolling me? Find a source from peer reviewed MEDICAL research, and we'll be in business.
-
You seem tenacious. Why don't you crack open a book about skepticism, and have an informative evening?
-
We don't "want to believe" anything. We rely on evidence INSTEAD of belief.
