Thankyou very much! I suppose, I don't htink he had my best interests at heart...

He did then say, "You need someone to look after you, to look after your diet and make you an exercise program" I just said I didnt have the money and figured calories in vs calories out should work in time... Thanks for the kind words.

At my gym, we have a little metre... when you put your hands on the machine it will read your heart rate and tell you what it is. It will then flash a different colour depending on how high or low it is.. I think anything above 140 is muscle building/aerobic... 100-140 is fat burn? Something like that I really can't…

Thankyou! My max heart rate on the cross trainer seems to be 175 at the moment.... I think thats more muscle building anyway, which is what the personal trainer said would help lose weight. This is very confusing! Keep it up and let me know how you get on!!
-
So you think I should still stick at it and I will lose? Because my scales say I have lost but to be honest I look no difference and my clothes don't seem any different. This is so confusing with all this advice coming at me! Maybe he was just trying to get me to buy a training session with him.

I am finding this pretty easy to do. A cereal breakfast of Special K with skim milk, maybe a strawberry or two. Weight watchers soup for lunch or a snack and then a Weightwatchers ready meal with plenty of veg for dinner. Drinks would be mainly green tea and water. This usually brings me up to about 1,000 or just under…

That sounds about right! I live in the UK so it has been legal for me for over a year, nearly two now as I am 20 very soon. I think the statistics with regards to under-age drinking are probably accurate too sadly. I was never a big drinker and usually have a few on special occasions like Birthdays, Christmas etc, although…

Yup I am only talking tonight with regards to drinking alcohol. I didn't have any Christmas day or boxing day or anything! I am amazed with myself. I may drink tonight, I may not it really does depend on where the evening takes me :) Thankyou. I worked out twice today to make sure I had burnt off enough for maybe two or…

I live in the United Kingdom so yes. It was legal at 18. I am now nearly 20.

Happy New Year to you too!! And I think after 2 hours in the gym I am going to NEED a vodka and diet coke haha!
-
Haha no I won't be eating candy :P but thanks for the advice, I just wanted to work off in advance the cals I will use tonight. Will not be making a habit of this though, since being on this diet and exercise regime I really don't need alcohol, I am getting a natural 'high' from the buzz of exercise. But it's NYE and I am…

Thankyou! Yeah it is only for tonight, I didn't drink Christmas at all and this would be literally a one off. I just didn't want one night to ruin all the hard work I have done in regards to weight loss xx
-
So even though I will work off around 500cals in the gym, I can't use them for alcohol tonight? Oh dear me :(

Waggamamas is super healthy plus lovely and tasty! Shows interest in 'exotic' cusine also, may get you some brownie points?

This is a great idea! I don't have a boyfriend but surely losing the pounds might get me a new one in time for Valentines :) Count me in! Good luck!
-
Ok, I couldn't help it! I jumped on the scales this morning and it said I had lost 5lbs. Something odd is going on with these weird things! Not sure whether to believe it or not and log it... or just accept the scales are loony and ignore! xx

That could be water weight? Anyways it was Christmas/ The Holidays (American people seem to call it the Holidays more often than Christmas :) ) Everyone is allowed to indulge a little! I read a piece in a Weight Watcher magazine, about a woman who put on about 7lbs over the festive period, but as soon as she went back to…

Oh dear this has confused me now as well. If I eat my recommended 1,200 calories, and then do a workout which burns say... 200 calories.. have I then GOT to eat another 200 calories? Surely eating what you work off will just make you stay the same weight? At some point you surely have to not eat the calories you have burnt…

I think for me it was a combination of stress and ignorance. I had a stressful job at the time and would have to eat and sleep very late at night which caused havoc with my body clock. I would also kick back with my (now ex) boyfriend and share a bottle of wine or...even worse, vodka once a week. I would also blame my…

Thanks for all the kind messages and support guys! I will stick at it and hopefully see some sort of result by next week (if I don't I might just go crrrrazy) :P
-
Thankyou! I am unsure, I am hoping to see results by next week, maybe one week is a bit too optimistic? I am also excited about going back to eating well, I have had to eat the food put on for me by family members even though it is very rich and creamy! So I can finally go back to eating properly thank goodness! Thankyou…

I have been to the gym around 4 times this week, but am not doing anything intense. Feel free to look at my exercise and food diarys :) I have no idea, I am just disappointed after a hard christmas slog!

I weighed again, moving the scales to a different part of the kitchen. With this weigh-in, it stated I had lost 3lb. I am confused, what should I go with? The heavier reading r the lighter reading? :S Thanks! :)
-
Thanks for all the kind words guys! I am 5ft 1 and around 155lbs, so I am very overweight for my size, I am very small. So to me, shifting this weight would mean the world to me, I just want it to happen now. I am actually quite full, I know it doesn't look like much on the page, but I have never felt hungry. I was just…
