I net about 1500-1700 calories a day. The fitbit makes adjustments for you so that you are not undereating. It is kind of a banking system per se. I didn't know about the macro adjustment ability till today and I think I will adjust it. I hate how it turns red when you go over when really, that is the most important part.

She said something to the effect of that isn't really what promotes weight loss. As Kat pointed out, weightloss happens in the kitchen. And I agree. I don't have joint problems etch. I exercise to augment and because I would be active if it were summer, I would just be doing other things like swimming at the lake or…

I wasn't discrediting the exercise advice, I am just trying not to hold the couch down 20 hours a day. I am doing the treadmill (at 2-2.5) or eliptical (at 30-35 RPM). This is not hardcore stuff.

Ya, that was one of the reasons I was going to the doctor. And I have backed down from 60 min to 30ish min a day mostly depending on the activity level in my day. If I spend a lot of time, sitting in a day I might do 60. She was basically saying that until I get my weight down i shouldn't exercise and I am not really on…

Thanks! I didn't know that!

I have actually but I don't think my insurance pays for one. That was one of the reasons I was going to the doctor. This woman just didn't seem interested in helping me.

I weigh everyday too. I can almost always tie mine with what I ate the day before, exercise, water intake and my time of the month. If I get discouraged, I look at a week or two weeks ago to see what I weighed then. If it is going down, then I don't worry about it. Daily fluctuations are normal.

Hi and Welcome! I too am 35 and doing this with my husband (who is 10 years older than me). AND I FEEL YA on the going out to eat thing! Busy family of 5 with 3 teenagers, it is so easy to say lets go out! We too have cut it out, with the exception of Sunday Brunch because I really look forward to that time every week, but…

My muscles are sore. My bones are fine, maybe even inproved. But I find myself being stiffer at rest than I have ever have been. After a workout and a cool down, if I sit down, when I get up, it is harder than ever to move. I drink tons of water!!! I think its an inflammatory thing but I am not sure if I need to see a…

I weigh once a day too... Not because of the number per se but because it keeps me motivated. If I know I have to get on the scale every morning, regardless of the number, I think twice about eating icecream. The day I don't, I know I will make it one more day.... then just one more and then...... no more. I have been…

Thanks! I have figured out that sometimes it is fast and others it is slow. I didn't think about the time zone thing. I really hope you like your ftibit as much as I do!
