I'd love to join this group! I was starting a PiYo challenge today with a friend (she's a coach) but the more support and people holding me accountable, the better. Age: 31 Weight: 179 Goal Weight: 140 Biggest struggle: Food... seriously, I love food. I hate portions and I hate not being able to eat whatever I want,…

Stretching is a great way to start moving! The trainer I've been working with highly recommended for my group that we skip the static stretches and focus on Aerobic/Dynamic stretching - or something like that. (I'm currently in a class called Better Body, Better Life and we get to meet with a nutritionist and a certified…

I like this idea! I set myself some monthly goals and so far I've missed the mark for February. I need something to get me motivated.

My poor legs hurt so bad! Can the jump squats I did at work count toward my 40 squats? After the 60 we did Tuesday and the 70 my Chief made us do yesterday, along with the 20 jump squats he had us do, and then another 20 squats and 5 jump squats from my boss today... well, if every week is like this, my legs are gonna look…

60 Squats - check! 10 Glasses of Water - check! Staying under calories... ok, that's a little more complicated since I met with a dietician yesterday and am in a 5 week class with her, so we set my target calories minimum and maximum and it was way different than what MFP said. I adjusted MFP to my minimum, but my…

I'm in! We have a deck of cards with exercises on them and everyone draws a card every hour and we all do them together. The first set had a squat card!! (Only 8, but that's 8 down!) The water will be my biggest challenge - I haven't been drinking much at all lately.

I was doing pretty good until I got home from my deployment. I feel like I fell off the planet when I got home. I continued to lose for a couple months, not as much as a pound a week, but I was 5lbs from my goal and then I just lost all motivation. I gained about 15 of it back :-( So, now I'm not deployed and I'm going to…

I need a buddy too :-( I was doing so good and then they stuck me on night shift. The chow hall seems to only do left overs for the night shift meals, so I end up snacking all night long to "make up" for the lack of meals. Then I don't have energy or motivation to go work out, and I feel guilty and don't want to see my day…

I don't think I weighed-in last week (everything's a blur now being on nights), but here's what has happened since my last remembered weigh-in: Last Weigh-in: 153.1 This week: 150.3 Lost: 2.8 lbs

Saturday was a blah day for me but Sunday morning was different. I went for a run and burned 1032 calories. Woot! Nothing like what everyone else seems to be burning this weekend, but I felt good.

There is no way I could limit myself to just 5, or put them in specific order. However, with a 3yo who thinks she's a Disney Princess, the top 5 most watched in my house are (in no specific order): Tangled Brave Cinderella Snow Whie Beauty and the Beast (We also watch The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty and The Princess…

Did a short, slow run Sunday morning for another 381 calories - total 1276! It was a good weekend for me!
-
I'm in - I made myself go run (895 calories gone) after work this morning so I'm almost there already. Sunday should be a gentle 2-3 mile run and will put me over the 1000 mark easily.

Some of my favorites (which change with the wind, or so it seems): Girls: Finley, Kathryn, Eden, Ainsley, Josephine, Briar, Danica, Evelyn, Kennedy, Raegan Boys: Finn, Declan, Mason, Jackson, Camden, Theodore, Callum

pab88 - I think I love you right now! I cannot wait to try those! thank you!! littlemzkitty - Adding broccoli sounds good too. How was it?

I haven't done any levels but am planning to start it whenever I get home. I have faith in you - you'll do great! Let me know how it goes, cause now I'm curious what it's going to be like.
-
Did you scramble to egg? Were the peppers raw or cooked? I'm curious cause it sounds like a quick yummy breakfast I can make before work when I get home.
-
Careful -they are addictive and before long you'll have your eye on a 10K! A lot of people love the Couch to 5K program, so if you haven't seen it yet, check it out. I start by setting a goal - do you want to run the whole time? Are you just wanting to finish? Are you aiming for a certain time? Next, figure out where…

I have a Garmin Forerunner 110 - the watch with HRM. I LOVE it! A bunch of us here got hooked on the Garmin after one person bought one and started talking about it. The basic model of what I have is the 10 but I hated how the watch was boxy looking. My 110 is the next step up, then there's the 210, 410 and 610. A couple…

I've been snacking and snacking and snacking and then I lose motivation to go workout so then I'm scared to finished logging my day and so I don't.... it's so bad I know! I did better today. I told myself I would push to my goal before Monday so I took my PT gear to work and my boss told me when I had to go and then I…

Yes. It's also usually off from what my watch would read if I just used it for the same run. (My watch syncs with my HRM.) I think (I'm not an expert here so I could be wrong), with out the HRM the calculation comes from an estimate based on the exercise and your weight. It doesn't know what fitness level you're already at…

I sent a friend request. Welcome to the group!

I work day shift but lately started staying late to run on the roads around work (less traffic than around the dorms), and then I take the late bus home. So I was walking down the hall and I passed the night shift Super and he said the usual "Hello Ma'am" and I replied in kind, "Good Evening Sir" and we kept going our…

The only place I want to go is home, so I googled the distance and figured out I will be physically there before I could walk/run/cycle the distance (7660 miles). This is a great idea though, so maybe when I get home I'll challenge myself to run somewhere, just to keep my motivation up.

LW: 153.9 CW: 153.1 Lost 0.8 this week - not quite a pound, but my pants felt bigger this week so I'm happy.
-
Ran 5 miles on Saturday: 642 calories Ran 4 miles/walked .5 mile on Sunday: 590 calories Weekend total: 1232 calories I made it, barely! Now if I can walk tomorrow I will have a reason to really celebrate!

Just a note: There is nothing in AFI 36-2903 that states a female's hair cannot tough the top of her ears. That's a requirement for males only. I haven't studied Army Regulation 670-1 in the same amount of detail as I have the AF reg, but I haven't seen anything about that for the Army females either. Either way, it is a…

Born and raised in Iowa (except for three years in Indiana) - sadly, I'm in the south now and I don't care what anyone says, the "hospitality" down here sucks compared to that of the Midwest. I can't wait to come home this summer for the fair!

I forgot to weigh in last week and despite having no motivation to work out or be good today, I made myself go bike for a little bit just so I could weigh in this week. (I thought it might look kind of silly to walk in the gym, weigh myself and then leave - so I had to do something.) So two weeks ago I was at 157.4. This…
