I'd lost around a stone before anyone said anything - it was a colleague who hadn't seen me in around a month so I think it was easier for her to see than it was for people who saw me every day. Well done, by the way!

A friend logged calories burnt doing 'the school run' the other day....:noway:

I've got several of Jillian Michaels' DVDs, Ripped in 30 is a good one or Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism if you want something longer. I'm currently on week 2 of Body Revolution.

I'd recommend her No More Trouble Zones DVD as well which is more strength training, the 2 compliment each other quite nicely!

I've been doing her workouts for a few years now and I'm currently on week 2 of Body Revolution. I've done BFBM quite a lot and it does get easier, I promise! The last time I did it I burned just under 500 calories but it'll vary for everyone depending on weight and heart rate.

I've only been to a few classes but really enjoyed them - the group was really big and the vast majority of people were out of time or going in the wrong direction, I think the only person who was doing it right was the instructor! The friend I was with narrowly avoided hitting me at one point because she was throwing out…

Not helpful. Thanks all. It's really disheartening when you've been working really hard and gain, even if it is only a pound in 4 weeks. I lost 25lbs on Weight Watchers a couple of years ago and never put on once in 5 months so this is a bit of a curveball for me. I haven't taken measurements or photos which I know I…

Thanks, I assumed that their workouts would be quite similar as they work so closely together but then I guess that's not what I want if I'm looking to vary things! If you like Jillian's workouts, I'd recommend Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones which are 45-50 minutes each and both really full-on…

I watched the first programme and was annoyed that (exercise issue aside) it was used as another opportunity to have a go at Weight Watchers. I lost 25lb on WW a couple of years ago and have kept it because I changed my eating habits - it's obviously not going to work long term if you don't maintain healthy eating habits…

I did Weight Watchers a couple of years ago and when people brought stuff like that it, I would think about how many points were in them and how it would take me over my allowance. Now I log on MFP, I think about how it would take me over my calorie allowance and how bad I'll feel when I see that negative figure on the…

I get sick of constantly having to defend myself for not eating all the junk that's always sitting around in the office (cake, crisps, doughnuts etc) and sticking to healthy snacks. I figure people do it to try and make themselves feel better about eating stuff they know they shouldn't!

I do have it set at 1200 a day at the moment but when I'm exercising, I'm actually eating 1400 which feels more reasonable.
