Just another down day here with the kids, getting ready for the week. Only thing I did was venture out, in search of an open pharmacy and a few things we needed. Son went to see the new Star Wars movie with his grandfather, all of which he arranged form the moment he decided he wanted to see it. Sadly my father-in-law…

Need to bump this so I remember to update. Need to weigh-in in the morning, and take pic...I guess.

Val, enjoy the run-up to the race. I kick myself for not going to the expo here. Actually I think it is in Marathon (26 mi away...obviously, lol), but I think there is some stuff at Zappeio Hall at the finish near us. I should've went and taken cards from every p.t. and masseuse and trainer helping with stretches and…

Yeah, I wonder if it's correct. But our street really is very steep. It can be very hard to walk down from the top and it ends with stairs. Here I paste the site. http://veloroutes.org/bikemaps/?x=23.7255261&y=37.9693590&z=11#

Another errand day today. The farmers market was here today, but I decided I didn't have space for bulk fruits and veggies and just went to the regular veg stand and got what I needed. Cooked. Laundry. Dishes twice. General cleaning kitchen. Sorting some of lil girls stuff (her room is too small for all her stuff) Did all…

Well, in Athens, it's apartment living. Our fridge is good sized, but idk we just shop often bc we can. I mean, when you walk everywhere, you pass the store often. Plus, no car to haul a *kitten* ton of stuff back like my Costco days in US. You'd laugh if you saw our "grocery store". The only one near us is stripped of…

How nice to live in a healthy town. I could've used that today. I visited six bio stores today (organic or so-called health food store) because apparently I am the definition of insane. I was trying to find something and thought I'd find it where vegans and vegetarians sometimes shop. I was wrong....repeatedly wrong. Lol.…

Aw, yay! I don't know about others, but sometimes my day goes like this...."yesterday was not a good day. Today is teetering, and could go either way. ... Oh, let's go find a success story on mfp to cheer me up." And here I am! Yay! Thanks for the boost, and congrats!

One.of.those.days. Got off bus at last stop, walked to next metro station to phone store to pay bill, because our bill never came this month. They told me they couldn't at the moment, go to other store, "where?"....right back where I got off the bus (never knew that store was inside the station). At least I got extra steps…

That scar looked painful! There's something now called "RF" (radio frequency) and is often paired with cavitation or cryolipolysis instead of tummy tucks.

Val, when I said I'd like another child, I don't necessarily mean through pregnancy. I've entertained the ideas of pregnancy, adoption, fostering, and very short term fostering (of unaccompanied refugee children) and in some cases we don't qualify because of language, but overwhelmingly the problem is that my husband says…

Marla, this thread sparked a conversation with DH last night. I was just trying to figure out "when" he is happy. I also brought up that I've seen sme improvement ("I no longer want to slip Prozac in your coffee!" Lol, we both laughed). I didn't realize it until later, he was asleep and I was trying to sleep, but I think…

I have to say, I know what you mean Marla and sometimes feel lucky having hubby gone but wish it weren't so far. My husband's issues are a little different, but I totally understand. At times I've tried to encourage him to see someone about Prozac or something (and I'm usu pretty anti-drug, or at least last resort). I just…

So inspiring! Thank you and congratulations! Happy maintenance!

Hi! Well, had errands and ended up with a good step count, but some calf aches. :( Dinner got started a little late and in my rush to just get stuff cooked, I did exactly nothing to the chicken breasts. Yuck. DH fried some for a sandwich for him and son. I made a spinach salad with mushrooms, feta, beets, rodi, balsamic…

That's great! I remember in a previous weightloss, feeling something poking me from the mattress as I laid on my stomach. It turned out that it wasn't the mattress. It was my hip bones, which I'd not felt in ages! Can't wait for that feeling again!

Marla I love it! Well, I can add backache to my list of pains today. Ugh. My overweight cat (the one who was overweight, then caught something, lost weight and nearly starved to death, got well and is back to overweight again) slept on me all night and the extra weight destroyed my back. Usually she does this to DH, but…

Oh hey, Marla I was planning to create a vision board as soon as DH leaves! I've never made one before, but I do have success with goal lists and "to do" lists. So I should really step-up my expectations and make a real vision board! Well, today's exercise was carrying a steam cleaner! haha. My son and I went to the…

1. So far, so good. Last check was at -5lbs. 2. Started to try it with a bikini I want to wear again, but ... HA! No way! Defying the laws of physics is not on my "to do" list! I will consider taking one in either a bikini that fits, or some spandex-y workout clothes. 3. Coming sooon...

It's been suggested, esp by DH. But I had it while on a very easy relaxing vacation (half the time) but didn't have it when traveling to US alone with two kids (and other stressful times, like during my sons three day 6am-10pm photo-video shoot--it disappeared during that stressful period!). There doesn't seem to be any…

Marla, I know those days. They are okay when I do the shopping (carrots and cucumbers can't hurt too much). But one of those days while DH is here doing the shopping (junk food) has disastrous results. But anyway, you get through it and keep going. I guess that's all we can do. Laura, it's Sherry, lol. No name has more…

This^! This is what I miss! (Hope the language doesn't offend.)

You are beautiful, before and after! Congratulations! You look like a million! Thank you for sharing your story so others can see that it's hard at times for *everyone*, even the success stories we read! I think I needed to hear that today.

HI! The thing with me and the weight gain is that, it WAS a spiral! I went so far off the rails in America. We're talking two months wiping out years. Well, there's much more I could say about it, but I really just want to move forward. And who knows, maybe this will be the impetus for doing what I couldn't seem to do…

Laura, I'm basically back to pregnancy weight...so you are not alone in this struggle. I eagerly await your thoughts and the advice you got. I'm just now about to put pen to paper some thoughts on plans for when things normalize here (school, DH, etc)

Holiday here today. Went to the coast for a walk. It was crowded, but nice. Eating took a turn for the worse. Eating will be easier when DH leaves and no more daily, endless supply of chips, cookies, chocolate bars, soda, wine, and McDonalds takeout coming here.

Okay, focusing on diet has worked. I'm in deficit and have therefore lost initial water/glycogen weight of four pounds. Yay! Next: fat. ;) I have a long way to go. I'm seriously thinking of going the quickest possible route at this point because it feels like going slower (smaller deficits) just takes so long that there's…

Oh wow, you and val really were thinking alike on these thread starters!

val, hope you're feeling well. Good luck with the continued juggling act of mamawifeathlete. After taking my workout break both for my legs and for home organization, DH keeps going on and on about how the house has transformed (there's still more to do though) and for that I feel accomplished. But the expense has been my…
