val, I'm jealous of your planned 6 mile easy run. That's what I want to be doing! Sure helps with stress and thinking & planning things out, which it sounds like you could use with the hecticness of what's coming your way! Well I sound like a broken record, but I am truly exhausted. Again with about 23.5k steps on my step…

Hi all. Sorry I'm exhausted again from going non stop. Again, 26000 steps so definitely no time for anything else (and I DO take the bus and metro half the time, really I do!) just lots of running around. Dr again this morning and again tomorrow morning plus all the kid school stuff and son taekwondo, etc. will try to be…

Quickly, bc its late and I still have tons to do. Good news I found a good doctor. Some tests today and going back for more tomorrow. Basically was busy all day. 29000 steps and literally no time for anything else. Was barely even home today, except to cook and serve dinner.

Hi! A surprise basket of produce sounds fun val! Today went as expected...visit with kids greatgrandmother and a few projects here, plus prep for the week. Sort of holding my breath for my dr appt tomorrow.

^from one of my favorite movies (although said by a bad guy) ^posted bc that's what I did today! Well my chest problem is back and I'd hardly slept for days, plus the long day yesterday, so today I slept! I then took the kids out for errands and grocery shopping. We got ice cream along the way, since they were being so…

Hey. Rough day with nonstop errands and work to do. Last I checked I was a few hundred shy of 30,000 steps for the day. That pretty much sums it up. That, and that even my son was celebrating it being the weekend and said he was torally wiped out by the day. And lil girl fell asleep on the couch tonight. Long day, long…

Hey all, quick post before I pick son up from tkd. Crazy day walking down to DH office to pick smthg up for him, parent teacher meeting, no time for tutor, homework at home, also rearranged some stuff and furniture, did some grocery shopping, tkd drop off. On schedule for normal amt of steps, at about 15000 right now.…

Finding a creepy crawler on your leg can definitely get your blood pumping! lol well, I am wiped! This schedule is wearing me down. Basically today was similar to yesterday, walked from tutor to school to pick up lil girl, did a little shopping and took it home, before lil girl and I headed out to get son. But today I…

Great thread starter today! Laura, I haven't considered taping. It's a deep muscular thing that runs right down to the tendon. I need to research a little further, because I read a mention of something the other day on a blog that might be similar, so I just need to look into it. Right now it hurts so bad. I shouldn't have…

Laura, hope you get better quick now. Well, didn't sleep at all last night, but DH left in the wee hours and I handled sick lil girl at home. Actually ran the lil distance from school after am drop off, since lil girl was asleep at home alone. Felt good to run, but my ankle is paying for it. I can't think about it, it…

1. check! 2. nope! 3. yes & no, Fri & Sat were not so good 4. trying to hold onto my loss after a "not-so-good" Fri & Sat FWIW, I made good tactical goals, because when i follow them, I am successful; and when I don't, I'm not. Now to let the dust settle on DH's trip and get back to adhering to these again, or similar for…

LOL! What a great weekend val! Well, haven't done much today. DH came rolling his suitcase down the hall and it hit me that this is really happening! It's weird. Trying not to think too much about it. Surely it will fly by. Unfortunately, we've had more storms. Storms this time of year are strange and could mean that we'll…

Laura, absolutely! I have to get back to consistency too! This summer wrecked me because of the disruption in routine. And right now, prior to dh's big trip is just as crazy. Hoping I can find that consistency soon too. val, awesome!have a great time! Today another stormy day at home with kids while Dh ran around with…

Marla, sounds like a nice weekend getaway! val, well done once again! Laura, glad you got your med sorted, hope you feel better soon. Well today was a bust. Lil girl is full blown sick and stayed home. I know it happens a lot in kindergarten, but she's always had pretty good immunity and been exposed a lot already due to…

val, I'm sure it's never dull when dealing with all the many different parents. Sometimes I'm glad I don't understand what's being said at parent meetings. ;-) Well, today I didn't have any errands or appts, so I did a few things at home but then walked from the tutor neighborhood back to pick up lil girl at school for a…

LOL! I saw this on facebook but got interrupted before I could download. I was thinking of posting it here too! lol! Glad you did. April, I wish I had suggestions. All I know is that sometimes eating just "clicks" for me and sometimes it doesn't. ATM it's clicking...but I can't pinpoint why. Just keep trying. I think alot…

^like! Val, your weekend plans sound perfect! Good luck with everything until then. Yesterday it thunder stormed and poured most of the day. School was still out from elections, so we lounged. Today was also rainy, but today was the real deal at school. Hauled two bags of supplies, plus her bed sheet and her lunch, and her…

Thanks. That gives me something to think about. But I read that the Pure Cadence is only good for 250-300 miles. :/

May I ask brand/make? I'd like to look into hybrid and also a 0 drop padded shoes you mention.
-
Is it possible that the new shoes you were fitted for "changed" your gait/form so that you were setting down on the outer edge? Then you forced yourself to work against the shoes in an unnatural way. ? I don't know. I clicked this thread because I have ongoing achilles & calf problems. My only solution has been to stop…

Think I'll try to get on a Sunday or Monday update schedule. Plus I did good in just the half week so far, so might as well update. 1. check! 2. check! (will be by end of day today) 3. check! 4. check!

val, in a roundabout way the appointment is about sleeping. Basically, I can't sleep due to chest/back/neck pain, so I'm seeing a cardiologist. It's taken me years to figure out what I think this MIGHT be, going early on from a "lump in the throat" feeling that made me think I had esophageal spasms, to lately more chest…

Yay for having internet Marla! I know you still have so much to do, but I bet it feels good to finally be starting to settle in. Today I took a looooong walk down to the beach and back, approximately what I used to run and LET ME TELL YOU...running is so much easier! Honestly, I don't know what it is, but running that…

Maureen, congrats on the loss! That's great! Val, way to how on that time! Huge! Well today was a bust for me, mostly sleeping because I couldn't sleep last night. But at least it prompted DH to make an apt for me next week. I just hope the doctor speaks English and has a conservative approach wrt prescriptions bc I'm not…

Walked all the way downtown to the central market area to get the last of stuff for lil girls school stuff...only to arrive at school and be handed a list of stuff to get. Lol. Only got about 12000 steps today, so will have to take a good walk this weekend. Tomorrow no school and tons of shopping, laundry, and prep work…

Marla, that really is very sweet about the kitties. I alwYs associate that rough living without appliances and stuff with early relationship kinda honeymoonish feeling. Our first apt was tiny and seemed like a dorm room and so anytime we've moved and had to live like that, it always reminded me of that time of being young…

Okay, had to wait to see what September would be like. Still not entirely sure, but finding out which kindergarten class we got (the "all day", woot-woot!)...I think I can set a few simple goals. Goals for October will likely be much more ambitious. 1. log all my consumption in MFP 2. walk 20,000 daily steps at least 3/7…

April, welcome back!! If it's any consolation, you and I are once again in the same place! Summer travel destroyed my progress and sent me back to a weight I hadn't seen since I was coming down from maternity weight. Oh well. I actually look forward to tackling this problem (especially now that I have both of my kids in…

Well, the night before school, I slept exactly 45 minutes...so last night I passed out before the kids and slept all night and didn't get to check in here after all. But I got great sleep and have an hour before everyone else wakes now. Marla, my family actually do pretty well on their own. My parents eat great. My brother…
