I am still going to recommend doing C25k, if you have not completed it yet. Just do it running as slow as you can.
-
You will build up both over time- many training programs for running involve a variety in the lengths and speeds of runs to help hit all of the different types of running. For now, you are just trying to build a running foundation- the rest can come with time.

As an aside: I was so out of shape when I started this years ago, that I had to walk for a few weeks, 3-4x a week to just build a base of cardiovascular endurance. I could not go straight into C25k. But you can totally do it, trust me- just know that your time in that 5k is the least important part of your training right…

Go slow. Slower than slow. As slow as you can. This is so key with C25k. When I first started, I literally could walk faster than my "run". The app is not to do a 5k per se, it is acutally just to get you to run continuously for 30 minutes. I was doing less than 2 miles in 30 minutes the first time I graduated C25k. My…

I lift 3 days a week and I run 3 days a week- I love it :D

Congratulations! You hard work is totally paying off!!

I wear full length/capri compression pants/tights (depending on my workout for the day, running vs lifting) and a t-shirt or performance shirt. I don't care what other people are wearing, but I do know that I once wore sweat pants to a 10k and will never again wear pants to exercise that have a raised inner seam for my…

Amazing progress! Way to go!

This is what I do.

Yeah....no thanks. But let me tell you, sometimes, I have weird combinations of things to eek out those last few calories at the end of the day- or when I am trying to eat one last time before hitting the grocery store >.< "Kitchen sink" quiches or smoothies are not uncommon here lmao

You might have a little more luck posting this in the Motivation and Support forum here, but welcome to MFP and good luck

And it was delicious- no regrets :yum:

I am sorry for your loss, you have been through so much and yet you are still pushing through it- you are an amazing person.

Congratulations on working hard to overcome your ED and having a positive outlook. And a big congratulations on running 4 miles, that's great! Like you said, no need to be obsessed with the scale, its just a number and there is so much more to being happy and healthy. Looks like you have some great fitness and health…

http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10332083/which-lifting-program-is-the-best-for-you/p1 If you want a straightforward dumbbell based lifting program, I really like the focus on the compound lifts/movements in "Aworkoutroutine" beginner dumbbell workout from above and I found it great when I was just starting…

Check this thread out: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10332083/which-lifting-program-is-the-best-for-you/p1 I got started with the "Aworkout Routine" beginner dumbbell workout because it was simple and focused on the main compound lifts. I have since moved on into Greyskull LP, and I am enjoying that a…

Honestly, I cannot remember where I read it, but someone suggested just buying clearance headphones from TJ Maxx. I had been doing a bunch of research, wanted Bluetooth headphones for lifting in the gym, I knew I wanted over ear type, and was struggling with finding something I liked. So I just took the advice from above…

I just saw a video on Zercher squats the other day! I was thinking I would try them next time the squat rack was taken at the gym.

Man, what won't I eat on a baked potato? Veggies, meat, butter, salsa, salt and pepper, cheese- just throw it all on there.
-
Yeah, I agree :)

I am going to say talk to him as well. My husband has watched me lose weight and he knows why I do it (my health, our future, etc) and being clear and up front about that is key. And I have even inspired him to lost weight on his own! Just be really straightforward and honest with him- it sounds like a misunderstanding. I…

Steak dinner with the family- and I don't have to cook. I will do my cardio workout from today after I lift tomorrow

No, a nod or a hello is totally fine with me (I even mentioned it a bit earlier). That is totally different then saying "Oh, baby, nice *kitten*" or something- and that distinction should not be too hard to grasp for people. Some people won't acknowledge you (I actually run through a government complex and see a lot of…

I have been experiencing this a bit too, and I am not sure if it is the weight loss or getting older and NGAF or whatever, but I am much more likely to assert myself more in situations. I am going to be tough to handle when I reach my goal weight! LOL.

Congratulations! I am glad you are kicking butt :) Good luck in the future as well!

I actually did a plank for 30 seconds on my toes instead of my knees for the first time!
