Way to go! :)

I am also not an expert, but I will say a few things that I find helpful: 1. Exercise in most forms, when safely performed, is better than no exercise. 2. Low weights with high reps is not pointless at all- in fact, there are many people who exercise purely with bodyweight and have excellent fitness and physiques, which…

You might consider consulting your doctor if it is affecting daily activities, but here are a few things that help me: * stay consistent with the exercise- physical exhaustion often helps me sleep. even if it is just walking, try to keep moving. * stop caffeine in the afternoon/as early as you can- so it doesn't interfere…

Cardio: 30 minute walk Strength: hack squats (2x5, 1x6), bent over dumbbell rows (2x5, 1x10), bench press (3x8, light weight), crunches 3x10 Assessment: Taco Bell for dinner

Cardio: walk 30 minutes Strength: none Assessment: Philly Cheese steak sub and chips. Had a WONDERFUL time in Poland, did a lot of walking and eating, but actually did a pretty good job of staying on track with my food. Back to gym tomorrow.

Also, read the Greyskull book- they have "add-ins" that allow you to customize your workout by adding in accessory lifts. I run a variant for my goals, and I enjoy it. Reddit also has some resources: https://www.reddit.com/r/Fitness/comments/5w483n/greyskull_lp_variants/ Also the forums are mostly dead, but there is a lot…

Cardio: 20 min walk Strength: seated leg press (3x10), incline chest press (3x8, light weight), seated row (3x10, light weight), hyperextensions (3x10) Assessment: Shoulder feeling pretty good, will start to very slowly build weight up again next week. Taco Bell for dinner.

Cardio: 30 min walk Strength: none- rest day. Assessment: Feeling extra drained today, still recovering from being sick, maybe pushed myself a little too hard yesterday. I have a big trip next week so maybe just keep it overall pretty light leading into a walking intensive trip. Leftovers for dinner.

I hit this a week early! Now 10lbs until my goal weight for the end of the year! Mini goal #2: enjoy Poland at maintenance and get right back on track when I get home <3

Cardio: 20 min walk, 20 min run Strength: RDL (1x7), lat pulldown (3x10, lighter weight), dumbbell OHP (3x10, lightest weight possible), crunches (3x10) Assessment: Shoulder okay, will see how the day progresses. Felt blah coming back from being sick, but that's to be expected. Pot roast with green beans and potatoes for…

Hey folks- Cardio: walking Strength: none Assessment: I have been sick the last couple days, will be back in the gym tomorrow; light pressing exercises will be added slowly as I test out my shoulder.

It took me about the same as @cwolfman13: 2 months to lose 15lbs. It was likely water weight and I was very obese to begin with so as he said, YMMV depending on your starting point. Since then I have had a couple starts and stops, but I have been losing steadily at 1-1.5lbs/week since I started to log consistently and…

I start with tea or coffee, then a few hours later, some oatmeal or Greek yogurt. Not a big breakfast person

Yes. 1-2x a week and I have lost weight while doing it :) I love Wendy's, love chocolate frosty and the spicy chicken sandwich.
-
Congratulations!! Sounds like you had an awesome time too :)

That is to say, I don't believe carbs are bad, I eat about 50% calories from carbs- I just don't feel as full eating say a donut versus some scrambled eggs and some bacon. YMMV. So be open to perhaps trying some new things. For example, when I want something sweet and hit my protein goals, I don't mind using protein shakes…

Your diary shows you have not managed to hit your protein goal in the last 4 days or so. I find protein to make a huge difference (personally) with satiety and feeling full. Others find fats to be very satisfying to feel full. It can take some trial and error, but you can find a way to feel less hungry.

Congratulations- well done!

There are entries for badminton, one competitive and one social. I think I would start there, but keep in mind MFP can estimate calorie burn a little higher than what is likely accurate- just FYI.

I actually chose Greyskull LP for all the variant "plug ins" so I could customize my workouts a bit to my needs, while keeping the main foundation of the compound lifts. I wanted a program that offered flexibility while making sure I hit what I needed to, so I wouldn't forget something along the way. I am still a beginner…

Never been a huge fan of Cheetos in general, but I have never tried the Flaming Hot ones so maybe I am missing something...

Same for me! I got fitting for Saucony's at my local running store after a gait analysis and immediately the pain I was feeling in my shins disappeared. I was grumpy about the price tag until I got to use them- it was an amazing difference. Additionally, as others have said, don't do too much too fast- use a program like…

I like running- preferably outside, but I don't mind the "dreadmill" now that I can download Netflix stuff and watch offline lol. I also do a lot of walking- I walk everyday at lunch, and I have two dogs I take on walks daily as well. Don't forget, walking is a great form of exercise :) I get really badly saddle sore with…
-
I also started with walking- I could only do 5-10 minutes, max at the beginning. Like @Tacklewasher, I have really changed as time went on. Now I lift 3x a week and run 3x a week, plus lunch walks every day. I have lost 49lbs through calorie deficit, but exercise really helped my mental game and keeps me motivated. I…

I also used the Zenlabs C25k app and it is free to use the intervals.

Cardio: 20 min walk, 20 min run Strength: seated leg press (3x10), seated row (3x10, light weight), hyperextensions (3x10) Assessment: Ready for the weekend! Gaming event will mean largely sedentary, but I will still try to hit steps each day. Tacos for dinner.

Good luck with your prep/cut and with your upcoming competition!

I have not tried non-dairy milk, sorry, so I am not sure about how they foam. If you try it, let us know!
