the " secret" weight loss formula is: fewer calories in, more calories out ( ie, exercise). That's what it takes to lose weight. Hi Kate, I'm 53 and have been using MFP regularly since 03-31-13. I am halfway to my goal and have about the same amount left to go as your whole goal. In our age group, losing weight is so much harder than when we were 20 or 30, isn't it?!?! Keeping a sense of humor is important to me too, feel free to add me as a friend !

I agree- everybody's body reacts differently. I rarely eat back my exercise calories, I try to stay just at or a little under 1200 / day and MFP always pops up with "I'm eating too few calories". But I have lost 24 pounds in 12 weeks since I started MFP. You do have to be accurate in food sizes/ weights. Most of all, DON'T…
