  • Doing a trail half marathon Sept. 15, North Face's Endurance Challenge in Wisconsin. I'll run it bare foot, which means no shoes. This is my biggest run since the Chicago Marathon in 2007. I'm glad to be on a running/fitness regimen that's keeping me healthy and improving steadily.
  • I ran as much as I could without shoes this past winter here in Chicago. The low temperatures were generally not a problem down to about 30 degrees (I dressed otherwise extra-warmly).
