Yep. Been that way for a few days now. I just figured it’s a new “quirk” to work around. I have noticed if someone has posted recently it shows the correct timestamp, so I’ve only been checking boards with a correct timestamp and ignoring the rest.

Recovery from GP absolutely is possible, I’m proof of that too! I think you have a strong plan, my only advice would be to minimize fat and fiber in your solid meal. It’s been years now and I’m still sensitive to too much of those. But I can eat salad and popcorn again, which I’m not sure I ever expected to be able to do…

Even if you aren't using the "fried eggs" or "beef lasagna" generic entries, this is still a crowdsourced database. Every entry that you use should be checked and cross referenced with an outside source. The USDA database is good for whole foods, otherwise the manufacturer of the food is a good start. Once you've verified…

If you want to be able to select a choice from things you scan, why not just use the search bar if you’re going to have to scroll through and verify choices anyway? That said, I don’t think there’s any way to tie a barcode to more than one entry. It doesn’t make sense to.

This isn’t a website for people under 18 and I seriously doubt posters on an adult weight loss site know much about safe training for growing kids. You’d probably find his pediatrician or a coach at his school a safer source of information.

Nope. Not a freaking millimeter of cup loss. I thought that was an automatic benefit. That's apparently what I get for thinking! :D I lost a lot in the band size, so my cup size actually went up since I never lost any meaningful volume. I went from a 40DD to a 38 DDD (aka E depending on the manufacturer) and then a 36F.…

I had the same problem, especially when perimenopause hit. Apparently plantar fasciitis is one of those things that can pop up at that time. My best results have been using a posture board. The boards have a slant to them that gives a great stretch from your glutes to your heels. You just put it up against a wall and stand…

I can't imagine how miserable it must have been to not have solid food for three months! An emotional roller coaster for sure! I had gastroparesis for about a year and a half and could only occasionally feel well enough to digest solid food, so I completely sympathize with how much you can miss actually chewing your fuel…

How is this still here?

MFP doesn’t allow you to add a recipe to a recipe. You have to either calculate the amounts of ingredients from the original recipe you’d use in the recipe you’re trying to make or else create the new recipe without any of the old recipe elements and then add the quantity of the original recipe as a separate entry. So…

I think crazy diet stuff is more integrated into yoga than people think. I used to do a hot yoga class at a chain studio that said you needed to do a 24 hour fast to optimize the class results. Water if you must, but dry fasting was better. Multiple instructors gave that instruction at the end of class. I ignored that…

I get you on the genetics. I gain muscle relatively easily up to a point. There have been a lot of years of easy gains, but once I got serious and settled into a powerlifting program, there were a LOT of times I would work for weeks to add just a single pound to my bench. I wouldn’t say a point of diminishing returns,…

Bret Contreras and his Strong Curves program is what’s generally the go-to for glute development. And no need to worry about being “muscly”. As a woman, you have to GRIND for every ounce of muscle you build. I promise you that you won’t suddenly wake up bulky!

My grandmother had one of those. It was the most popular toy in the house for me and my cousins!

To get calories credited for your work out, use the strength training entry under cardio. Enter the entire duration of your workout, the entry has rest time factored into it.

I like all of the chocolate Fairlife and Fairlife Core Power shakes. Nonweight loss secret to them though, I still work them into my calories. They work with a handful of crudités if I decide to eat lunch.

I'd also suggest ordering curbside pickup for your groceries. It eliminates a huge amount of impulse shopping. I find it also saves a good bit of money because you can have carts going at multiple stores and compare prices. Even if you don't comparison shop like that, just skipping the unnecessary "bargains" and impulse…

I'll be following along with this. I carry so much tension in my body it is physically painful to be touched more often than not. I use a massage gun and a posture board when I think of it. I've tried to like yoga, but being still, quiet, and awake all at the same time is rough--my body thinks if I'm laying down, I should…

I’d also add that checking off what you ate is a pretty frequent request on this board and the response is essentially the same every time. I’m sure it could be useful to some people, but it doesn’t sound like it’s on the radar to be added to the app, at least based on the bot-like responses to the suggestion so far.

There are lots of outdoor things going on in Colorado for sure. But just as much is the general culture of activity. I have friends that basically don’t use cars in the nicer months—just walk or ride bikes wherever they’re going. A lot of restaurants and shops have bike racks out front. I have two grocery stores, a drug…

I think the MFP-type of environment sometimes leads people to let their internet guards down. I don't think most people would go on Facebook and ask all the people to "friend" them, but we see it every hour on MFP. Part of it is that MFP creates a bit of a microcosm--specialty boards like this do create a sense of…

I think we're probably talking about degrees and semantics when it comes to discomfort, or perhaps to the tolerance of discomfort. My takeaway from the post above is that unless you are actively miserable and suffering, then you simply aren't learning and growing as a person. I see it as more of a spectrum, if anything.…

I think "comfort is the enemy" is a pretty loaded catch phrase. Kind of like "body positivity" is. For me, I think the word "enemy" is a bit strong and turns me off the sentiment. I just picture some red-faced roided out bro bellowing spittle in my face. Probably singing the praises of 75 Hard or something. It's a very…

There are certainly a few places you could probably painlessly drop some calories from that, but it also might not be that bad. What is your calorie goal for the day? Is breakfast usually your big meal? For me, 500-600 calories is a happy breakfast. But, I have a 1700 calorie budget and breakfast has typically been the…

If binging is how you cope with life, there's probably something to that. Cortisol can cause water retention. I'm not sure how quickly cortisol builds up and causes that reaction, though.

The best time to work out is when you'll actually do it. If you know your schedule is already crazy in the morning, don't try and work out in the morning. If you're worn out and wrecked at the end of the day, don't try and work out in the evening. Getting it done is what matters, not what time you do it.

My favorite way to say it is “It can go to waste, or it can go to waist!”

The only qualification it takes to be an “influencer” is a phone camera and an internet connection. If people mistake that for some kind of professional expertise, they have a bigger problem than wanting to lose a few pounds.

We even (technically) got snow in West Texas!

90% of bald men still own a comb. They just can’t part with it.
