That’s not a shortcoming of MFP. A software program has no way of knowing how much sauce you prefer to eat vs leave in the pan. Just weigh the remaining sauce and deduct it from the original weight of your serving.

Legendary is the brand name. I think I’ve seen them at Target.

Poaching also has approximately one gazillion times less mess than frying. Just rinse the sieve and dump the pan when you’re done!

@DebbieLyn63 Check out Lose It or My Net Diary— several hundred newsfeed folks went to the various MFP Exodus groups on those sites.

I don’t think there’s just a random ballpark anyone can give with the info provided. . What are you breading it with? Flour? Panko? Breadcrumbs? Cornmeal? Are you using a binder? Eggs? Milk? A combo? Are you baking or frying? Are you misting with oil so the breading browns? How much oil? The way to go would be to…

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. I think we often think that "meaningful change" means overhauling everything all at once. It's trite, but often true. I don't especially like cooking, so it's easy for me to get off track and start relying on takeout and "instant" meals like a protein shake and a…

Lose It and MyNetDiary both have large "MFP Exodus" groups.

Nope, there isn't a platform where you can see the newsfeed anymore, paid or free. It was discontinued entirely back in June.

What is it that you need a coach to do? Are you planning to compete any time soon? I ask because when I used to powerlift, I used coaches at the beginning when I was learning to lift and again about a year out from planning to compete. In between I saw consistent progress with my own programming and diet. There’s so much…

Honestly, you may need to write this off as a bad investment. You are the one that hired him. If his work isn’t satisfactory you’re just throwing good money (buying food that makes you physically ill along with useless supplements) after bad.

I don’t even use my real name on socials. Meeting randos off message boards sounds like a great way to end up in a ditch somewhere.

It sounds like Mr Olympia got his wins in spite of his nutrition plan, not because of them. If it were me, if the workouts were worthwhile I’d stick with those and ditch the meal plan since it clearly isn’t working for you. Alternatively you could take his meal plan, back out the macros and just substitute foods that agree…

The newsfeed? It was removed sometime in June. Most of the people that used it have moved on to either Lose It or MyNetDiary. These community boards are the remaining option for socials on the site.

I count all liquids as water. I often flavor my water with electrolyte powder, fruity tea bags, or a little lime juice. I even like to use different kinds of bitters to add a little "pop" to my water. I consider my coffee to be water, the same if I have a mug of tea at night or a soda in the afternoon. None of those things…

Are you drinking fluids of any kind throughout the day or do you mostly drink at mealtimes? I agree with the previous posters that smaller amounts throughout the day would likely be much more manageable. Personally, I drink a lot. Like, a lot a lot. I probably average 4 liters a day plus sometimes coffee or tea. Believe…

This probably isn't the best time for a dedicated weight loss effort since you're recovering from major surgery and need to keep a milk supply up. Maybe you can work on small habits in the meantime instead? Maybe a good project for now would be things like eating a balanced plate, increasing veggies, just tracking…

The newsfeed was discontinued in early June. Apparently it "wasn't used much". Even though two months later we still see posts about the newsfeed just about every day... Several hundred newsfeed users ended up moving to Lose it and MyNetDiary for the socials there. Otherwise, these boards are the "pal" option in My Fitness…

I don't have experience with Wellbutrin specifically, but I've been on a host of other psych meds over the years. What I've found is that most side effects kind of fade away after a month or a month and a half. It's been recommended to me by multiple providers that I give new meds that long to get up to therapeutic levels…

The outside aisle is unequivocally the best aisle in the whole dang store at my grocery. That's where they keep the wine! Granted, wine is probably not the best work snack, but it will always be there at closing time

Barcode scanner is now a premium feature on MFP. If having it is a dealbreaker for you, the barcode scanner is free on most other calorie counting apps.

I think it's two things. One, the Introduce Yourself board still has pinned posts about how to add friends and a place to comment if you want more friends. I'm sure that makes true newbies think friends are a thing. It also seems like there are a lot of people that come back to MFP after being away for awhile and they…

I’m not able to help on navigating the app, but wanted to point out that the barcode information comes from the same crowdsourced database every other entry comes from, it’s just tied to a specific single entry. The info from the barcode scanner doesn’t come from the manufacturer or MFP, so entries still need to be…

Meal prepping isn’t necessary in the least. Frankly, cooking itself is t really necessary if that’s not your thing. I keep ingredients around, cooked and frozen meat and frozen veg, pre-cooked 90-second rice and pasta, condiments and spice blends. So many condiments and spices! Just scoop it all together when hungry and…

The boards are definitely becoming a different place than they used to be. I think the influx of "one-time wonders" has worn on the ever-shrinking group of regular posters. There's very little discussion about things any more, just the usual essays on why or why not to count exercise calories and whether you'll die of…

You should absolutely check every single entry the first time you use it or after you haven't used it for a while. MFP does NOT curate the database, it is almost entirely crowd-sourced beyond an initial USDA database dump when the site was created. People can enter whatever they want, fill out only the parts they want, get…

I’ve probably been here close to a decade and never knew that was there.

I cannot overemphasize the need for "flavor" when it comes to fruits and vegetables. Dips, sauces, and sprinkles are essential for me to be able to eat produce (or anything, really). My go-to's are ranch, Caesar, and blue cheese for dips. Cheese sauce, salsa, guacamole (or is that a dip?), marinara, stir-fry sauce, hot…

You might check out Lose It or My Net Diary. Both have newsfeed features as well as pretty large MFP exodus groups where you might find your friends.

Most of my early cooking efforts were Hamburger Helper and Tuna Helper type stuff, so not sure I had a "favorite" food at home. Once I learned more about seasoning meat, I was pretty fond of taco night. I did love my grandmother's fried chicken, fried okra, and banana pudding. My other grandmother made homemade sauerkraut…

Nope. My grandmother and I used to have that for breakfast and she lived her entire life in Texas.
