congrats!!!! I had a similar experience. I went to buy some pants that fit me since my 18's were extremely loose. I grabbed a 16 thinking that since my 18's were loose then 16's must fit. I tried them on, and they fit. They were even a little loose. I tried on a 14 just to see how close I was to fitting in it. The best…

I know that 1200 is not for everyone, but those who are against it don't think before they speak. I've seen others say that for a woman to lose weight should be between 1200-1500 calories... I personally want to get to my goal weight as quick as possible. I know that starving myself is out of the question (not like I could…

I will confirm that it's on youtube for free.... That's what I use... Just search for workout video: Jillian MIcheals 30 day shred 1, 2, 3

I like them. They were a good starter for me when I first started using MFP. I still eat them every once in a while. I especially get the pasta ones, paninis, and quesadillas (I haven't been successful at making a good panini or quesadilla  )

If it works for you, stick with it. I am at 1200 calories (losing 2 lbs per week). I know people keep saying, "eat more, your starving yourself, etc". However, I watch my nutrition intake very carefully (proteins, fiber, vitamins, and calcium). I love vegetables. I also am doing the 30 day shred as well, and I do eat my…

sarah lee's has 45 per slice calorie bread (so 90 calories for 2 slices) they have a 100% whole wheat one and a 100% whole wheat with honey as well. I like the one with honey because I don't have to put butter on my toast when I eat it. It has a natural sweetness to it (saves on the fat and extra calories).

For me, I always wanted to lose weight, but never found that "perfect diet". My uncle introduced me to MyFitnessPal. I liked how I could still "eat what I want" instead of that feeling of restriction. However, the biggest reason for me to lose the weight is the fact that my mom is very obese. She has so many health…

I feel the same way sometimes. While I'm at 1200 calories, and I'm doing perfectly fine with it. My meals are the same way: lean meats and a lot of veggies. I always feel full when I go to bed at night. I did figure out that if I eat breakfast before 8am, I tend to eat more during the day than if I wait till after 8am to…

I do the same thing. I will only record on Fridays though... It's nice to see that even my evening weight is lower than what it was when I started!!! I noticed this week (since starting the 30 day shred), that my weight has gone up 1-2lbs. I'm waiting for the day it drops... I'm 2lbs from my first goal!!! I'm getting…

It could go up at first. But after a week or two, it will begin to drop again. It shouldn't move that much though.

I just joined this group, because I'm sick and tired of the non-1200 calorie people talking about things they do not understand. I have been at 1200 calories for about 2 months (started at 1310 for the first 2 weeks- so I've been on MFP for 2 1/2 months). I look at it this way. Do you have a hungry feeling when you go to…

You look amazing... I completed day 7 today. I hope I can get similar results!!!

I believe it's just for the 30 day shred... It was apparently on the website (I personally haven't located it, but saw it in another topic), but I use the videos of youtube since I don't have the money to buy the DVDs. I also can't afford an HRM (heart rate monitor) right now either. It seems pretty accurate though…

I put it in as cardio and just created a new workout for myself. Someone shared a formula that helps you figure out how to calculate how many calories you burn. (3.267 times your current weight divided by 3). Hope this helps

I had a week like that last month (in February). I felt terrible since I didn't have that "clean, healthy" feeling, but I just restarted and continued going since then. I lost 20 pounds before that happened. I didn't gain anything back. The scale barely moved that week, but I was glad that it didn't go up either. It has…

That's awesome!!!! Good job!!!

I just finished day 5 of the 30 day shred, and I can't believe that I'm already seeing results. My "love handles" do not hang over as far as they did last weekend!!! It is so worth it!! I cannot wait till I finish day 30 to see my complete results.

Eat your calories back. I know that when I work out, I need to eat more calories than 1200. Usually just by eating back my calories, I don't feel hungry. I still manage to loose weight even by eating my calories back. Also, for some people they need more of a calorie intake than others. Just try a few things (but give it a…

Saving this for motivation.... I have to lose exactly 100 lbs to get to my normal/healthy BMI. I've lost almost 40 lbs so far (in 2 1/2 months). I have 60 lbs to go to get to my healthy BMI. Thanks for the motivation and the hope that I could possibly be there by this time next year. Great job to those who have lost the…

While I am still far from my end goal weight/ normal BMI range, I've lost 35 lbs. I am starting to get the comments from family members... From my mother (who is morbidly obese and who starts diets but stops after 3 days or less... she even tried MFP, but didn't stick with it. She lives with me, so it's not like she…

You should've seen me in the stores. The sales women probably thought I was crazy!!! lol....

I was just able to buy and FIT a VS bra this weekend!!!! I used to never be able to fit anything in there... Well, I got a bra and some panties (which are smaller than I was wearing, but they are even too big on me  Guess I'll have to get the next size or two down next time I have money to spend on clothes). It's so…

I am seeing the same progress with my young boys ( 3 & 1). While I cared more about their health and nutrition more than mine own since their birth, I wasn't setting the example. Every once in a while, they get the chicken nuggets or hot dog, but with every lunch and dinner they have fruit and/or veggie. They also only…

I am starting 30 DS today :-).... I've seen so many amazing results from people doing it. I need to add variety into my exercise (I'm getting bored of my current exercise routine). My husband has agreed to complete it with me!! Wish us luck :-)

oh... I always forget this... My lifestyle is mostly sedentary. However, I do eat back my exercise calories, because my body needs the extra energy that I exerted. I have been loosing at least 2 lbs per week, but sometimes up to 4 pounds per week (if I put in more exercise time). I'm planning on toning and strengthening…

I am doing very well on 1200 calories... I've been on MFP (an therefore 1200 cal) for two months. I've lost 30 pounds. I never felt better in my life. People say that "oh, you are starving yourself. Or your eating away your muscle..." I say that those comments are bogus. You need to eat smart. You need 1200 nutritious…

congrats!!!

I am at a 1200 cal intake. I definitely notice that on the days that I exercise, I eat more. I definitely suggest eating some of your calories back. You are still eating less than what you need to maintain your weight when you eat your exercise calories. As long as you stay under your daily calorie limit, you will lose.…

Just to clear some things up. I am on 1200 calories a day, and I have a hard time (most days) making it to 1200 calories. I eat A LOT of protein and complex carbs which helps to make you feel full. Just taking a quick glance over your diary my advice would be to switch your whole egg to egg whites (it saves almost 50…
