These are my thoughts too. It was a time when most athletes did it. Only the winners got caught.

I am so glad for all these responses because I just had the same experience after losing for two weeks...I was really discouraged and was starting to lose interest...silly, I know, after only a few weeks. Anyway, so much great support here, I am so grateful.

Where are you finding these people?? I'm happy to get 2 lbs per week. If I eat everything I am suppose to, I lose even less...

5 miles today.

Late in. My exercise has been 'sometimesy', so I am doing this challenge to keep me honest and get me into a regular habit with exercise. 19 days left so I commit to 50 miles by Feb. Walk, jog or whatever I can do.

Sticking with it is really hard!! You are so right to get control of the weight before it gets any worse and somehow aging does make the metabolism slow and makes it harder. If you change your patterns now you will be so much healthier and happier down the road. Some one posted an article about how counter productive it is…

I have to say that I think you are in the right place!! I am new here too but am very hopeful that this will be the motivation I need to get rid of this weight. I am the same age as you and I find that the weight doesn't come off as quickly as it did in the past. You are doing great at the gym!!! I hope you get to that…

I hope you find this site as beneficial as I have! Only been on here a couple of weeks and it is really changing how I perceive my eating habits. Plus there is a lot of motivation from all the people and challenges. Add me as a friend if you like. Good luck!!

I agree totally. Seeing the results of what I eat in black and white on my screen has had a huge effect on my choices in what I eat. Also, I find myself hunting for food that won't scare me when I enter it into my food for the day. I hunt a lot at the grocery store, because I had regular foods that I always bought which…

As I read all the responses, I notice that men have a lot of sympathy for the husband. Why? Because they know that men think about sex every 10 minutes or something crazy like that and your husband knows that your trainer is thinking that about you that way. Sure he won't act on it, but he is thinking it. Catering to each…

This is a wonderful analogy!!! I'm not going to do the several day only juice thing anymore (tried it 3 times), because I just went right back to my terrible eating habits and gained more weight...that being said, juicing is wonderful for me as a daily boost for the 'secret levels of food". I feel so very much better every…

I totally understand where you are coming from. People who don't have the problem don't get it and I'm glad they don't have to deal with it because it really sucks. If you don't get it, please don't criticize - we feel bad enough already!! I often throw food out if it starts to tempt me and I feel the binge mode coming on.…

I don't stay on track all the time, but what helps me get myself in check is the food diary in here. Tonight I was starting a binge, but got on here and entered what I had eaten already into my diary. Somehow seeing the results in black and white .....and red in my calories and fats categories..made me stop and put back…

Great Idea! Just starting today on this website. Got the app for my phone.. 7 weeks equals 7 pounds if I follow the plan supposedly, but since I am just starting, I will make my goal a little bigger and go for 12 pounds. No rush. Been there. I want to change my eating habits for the long run.
