I think you're probably 15 years old if you care about such things.

I was a hard core coffee drinker for years until I had some weird heart fluctuations and stopped drinking coffee because I thought it might be an issue. I was surprised that I didn't have a major withdraw, only felt a little wonky the first day. Now that I don't "need" it, I only have it on the weekends.

Add me if you'd like - I've been around a while.

I've just started putting them into my smoothies. Numnum healthy fat!

This has been mine this week, I'm surprised how good it is!

I have friends in the 1000s+. I would be there myself if I hadn't let it lapse a number of times.
-
That's a TREMENDOUS difference...hope it keeps you motivated to keep on keepin' on! Good luck!

Have you read the ingredient list on those things? I'm going to use the Slim Fast Creamy Milk Chocolate shake as my example here: Nutrition Facts & Ingredients: If you really want to substitute a meal with a shake, why not just make your own with fresh ingredients? Here I'm using one that I've had a few times this week as…

Pros: You'll be starving which will be great if you enjoy staving. Cons: Too many to list. Just don't do it. Eat less, move more.

Cat gifs are always appropriate.

This is the perfect thread to read right now as I've just finished up my yummy lunch at my desk. :p

You can do it, but you just may not know *how* to do it. Read these posts, they'll help with your "education": http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242/a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants/p1 http://fit101.org/the-step-by-step-guide-to-losing-weight-with-myfitnesspal/…

Wow, how scary, but hopefully it serves as your wake up call that you need to get back on track not just for you and your new husband but also for that beautiful little baby! Best of luck to you, you can do it!!

^ This...a million times over. Have you read the ingredient list on those things? If you want to make a protein shake (or smoothie) it's easy enough to make your own with fresh ingredients (and protein powder if you wish). There are a gazillion recipes out there.

Thanks! Printing up some coupons now.

What did you do right the first time that you're unable to do this time? Also, you need to give yourself more time than a week for results...more like 4-6 weeks.
-
You'll need to give it 4-6 weeks before seeing any real losses. If you don't see any by then, it's time to reassess what you're doing. Also, read this: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1296011/calorie-counting-101/p1 and this: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1235566/so-youre-new-here#latest…

My friend makes it like that. Pure blasphemy!

It takes a lot of strength to do what you've accomplished. Great job!!
-
To be determined. I'm only on day 7 but I'm closely keeping track of my calories.

I just started my baby steps last month. OP, do you have a GFS Marketplace (store) near you? There's no membership and the prices are great, especially on things like frozen veggies. I stock up there from time to time.

The good news is that you're only 19 and you'll lose that extra weight in no time, provided that you go about it the right way.* Weigh and measure (using a food scale) everything (including liquids) that you put in your mouth. As you said, get an idea of how much you're eating now. * Then, find out how much of a calorie…

For whatever reason I don't see myself vaping - not to undermine your success with it, but I would just feel silly doing it! Plus, for me, I would feel like I traded one cigarette with another (though I will agree that eCigs probably aren't as harmful). I'll just deal with the vivid patch dreams for now, lol!

Truly inspirational!

Nicely done...and I love your hair!

Excellent job!!!

OP, if you're the researching type, might I suggest you do some research on Dr. Oz and the weight loss claims made by him. Here's something to get you started: http://www.buzzfeed.com/andrewkaczynski/senator-slams-dr-ozs-overuse-of-miracle-when-discussing-diet#.uiOj3E0gR…

I would get myself checked out first to rule out any medical issues. If you're in the clear, start off S-L-O-W-E-R. Use a program like C25K (Google it) to build up your outdoor running.

The point is that there are a lot of new people that "just want to lose weight" the quickest way that they can - they often don't realize that there are no shortcuts and that the best long term results will come from a reasonable calorie deficit and exercise. When you follow a strict plan like this you'll end up craving…
