I would log every day, but I don't cook for myself every day. Weekends are spent with my fiancee and he does a lot of the cooking. There's no reasonable way that I can attempt to log when he cooks. The "last" time...when I was so successful...I was single and making ALL of my own meals.

Yes, but it had nothing to do with my stressful situations. I've been PM for nearly 10 years now thanks to a couple of different ovarian cysts that got me there earlier than most!

I probably should have added that when I *do* log I do use a food scale, I log all solids & liquids, and use valid entries (most often I scan barcodes).

Actually, you can rent a casket. It's more expensive than you would think though.

Yep, yep, and yep. I would rather spend $50-$60 more on shoes to support my local running store - they do much much for the running community and if they were gone it would be a tragedy.

Unless you have a specific medical condition, you don't need to "stay away" from any particular food. Nor do you have to stop eating or limit food at any particular time of day.

The only thing you can do is hang up, walk away, etc. when she starts up. I wouldn't bother explaining yourself or trying to reason with your mom because she won't hear it anyway. You just need to remove yourself from those conversations when they come up.

I've not heard that soy can restrict weight loss with those of us with hypothyroidism, but I have heard it can interfere with meds. I've also read articles like this one that imply that it does not. To be on the safe side I do limit soy, your mileage may vary though.

And this is why you shouldn't pass judgement on someone just because they're obese (let alone post their pic on social media)- you don't know anything about them, or if they've already lost a good bit of weight as this lady has. Good on her for her response and her losses to date!
