This just sent me into a psychotic fit of pondering how many grams of carbohydrate are present in the universe, and how many calories that translates to...

Yes. She sounds like someone is constantly punching her in the gut when she sings. Or like Tarzan. Or like Tarzan getting punched in the gut.

Forgot to mention my hatred of Demi Lovato. I would be able to stand her voice if she would suck it up and stop writing her own music. Her lyrics are so stupid, they make me want to set a puppy-rescue on fire.

Also, Amy Lee when she performs live. It doesn't help that she can't hold pitch, but her stage presence is awful. It's like watching Kristen Stewart act.

Everybody loves Sarah Brightman, but as a classical singer myself, I can't stand it when she either A) sings pop songs as if she is trying to sing classically or B) tries to sing opera or art songs when she doesn't really have the pipes. I feel the same way about pretty much any Popra singer. It's not that I don't enjoy…

Starbucks is selling Casi Cielo right now, and it is incredible. Needs nothing added. Even I can drink it black in a pinch, and I hate my coffee black. Expensive, but well worth it.

Separate them. Keep a towel with each. After a day, switch the towels. Feed the older cat and then the younger cat on opposite sides of a closed door. After a few days, gradually prop it open more and more at feeding times until they are used to each other.

because you can curl a small child. And I keep getting skipped.

Terasome: I am offended by the cute baby on your ticker. Too cute.

Cherokee: Shoulder is showing. I'm offended.

*gets a chair* You know, a lot of mfp-ers are annoyed by these threads, but I love 'em! To the OP, don't do a cleanse. Live a healthy life. Eat well, move around a bit.

All I know is that, about a year ago, when I tried to get forbearance, they were not very helpful and I backed down. Maybe I should try again.
-
Yes. I know the difference between TDEE and BMR. I am set to maintain because I do not want to lose weight. There is no deficit built in. Harris-Benedict based calcs set to light activity give me the highest numbers at 1700-1800. MFP's maintenance at sedentary was the lowest at 1560. Don't remember the original one that…

IDK about your lender, but mine does not like forbearance, and is very reluctant to give it unless you are unemployed.

Lucky you. I managed to get through three semesters of college before I ran out of money to pay for it and had to enter the workforce in order to put food on the table and pay the rent. Unfortunately, that left me without the time to go to school. Suddenly, the loans were due, and paying them back rendered putting food on…

I like you.

Only child here. I'd say just make sure that he has plenty of opportunities for interaction with other children. I was only lonely during school vacations when I didn't really have any contact with other kids.

Nope. Doesn't have to be. But coming from a partisan source doesn't make it inherently false, either, which is why I asked. I never said, "ZOMG THIS IS 100% TRUE! BEHEAD HIM!" did I?
-
I have to agree here. People are either defending the guy who makes mind-blowing amounts of money and doesn't care for the well-being of his workers, without whom he would have NOTHING, or they're saying, "Not my problem."

My SO works for Starbucks. He was promoted to shift manager after a year, works full time, has excellent benefits, decent hours, and makes good money. Just because most companies like screwing their workers doesn't mean it's right or unavoidable.

Ones that are based on my bf% - currently 26. those give me around 1450, mfp says 1560, others say 1690-1710. Most of these I set to sedentary because I figured I was not getting the kind of burn out of strength training as I would be out of cardio, but even at lightly active, I get nothing above about 1850 from any…

I don't have an issue with hiring more people as part time, but cutting down full-timers just to avoid providing benefits...that doesn't sit well with me.

WM isn't too horrible. The pay is decent, and it's fairly easy to get on as full time after you've worked there for a year or two. But they HATE unions, and god help you if you get sick for more than three days in 6 months.
-
Honestly, though, Walmart is the same, and I suspect a good deal of other places are, too. When I was trained at WM, they showed us a video telling us how bad unions are and that they would take our money and we should never sign anything given to us by a union organizer or rep. It's just that Whole Foods has this sort of…

I've got other food sources, but to each his own. So you still want to shop there. Do you think any other action should be taken here? Or that's just fine and dandy? Personally, I feel like any legal intervention would be treading into iffy territory as to the company's rights. I'd rather use the free market to express my…

Don't stay away from squats, though! They'll build you a firmer, more lifted butt, and once the fat is gone -- poof! *kitten* of a goddess!
-
Oh, and bellydance - the kind where you shimmy a lot. Fast-twitch muscle fibers are your friend.
-
Squat. Seriously. I had a pancake butt, started squatting, and even my pathetic 40-lb squat (highest I can safely do without a rack/spotter) has given me a serious lift.
-
Peeing in the shower is a God-given right, but not while someone else is in there with you. Just wrong.
-
That's a great one. You can calibrate it, as well.
