My program W6D3 is 22 minutes and W7D1 is 25 minutes, so there was a little bit of a bump, but I felt ready for it. And it wasn't just those last 3 minutes where I felt tired either, it was the whole dang run.

During W7D1 I was about to give up - it felt so hard and I was so tired and I couldn't believe I wasn't even halfway yet. I finally looked at the timer and saw I only had 8:30 left, so I was well past halfway. During W7D2 I didn't panic when it didn't tell me I was halfway (plus I was having a much easier run).

I use the Active C25K and in Week 7 I'm having the same issue. The only prompts are to start, to run, to cool-down, and that I'm done. I'm not even getting a half-way point reminder anymore. I don't like to look at the timer because it messes with my head if I'm not as far as I think I should be, but I have been just to…

Send him a private message on Facebook, explain how you know his mom and let him know you're trying to get in touch with her. Once you're sure he's the right kid you could give your contact info to him, or ask him to verify with his mom that it's okay for him to give you her phone number.

Don't you hate when that happens? I suspect by Friday all that extra work will catch up on the scale.

Congrats! And I love your closing thoughts!

Good morning! Beginning weight: 214.0 Current Weight: 195.4 Loss to Date: -18.6 pounds Cold, foggy & raining here again today. I seriously need to see the sun. Have a great Sunday! Laura

Man I know that feeling well. At 8:00 tonight I was wondering if it was too early to just go to bed to keep myself from snacking. Instead I started organizing my kitchen cabinets. Pretty soon I was throwing away stuff I wasn't eating anymore thinking "I don't need to even keep this crap on hand anymore." It went from a…

I used to have a lot of knee pain. I started strength training in February and in addition to strengthening my knees, my trainer also focuses a lot on me strengthening my hips. And good shoes are crucial.

Hi everyone! I'm Laura. I currently live in Cloquet. I lived in various parts of the Metro when I was younger, but grew up in NE MN.

I've had PF and know how bad it is. My best advice is to make sure you have the right shoes (that ended up being the difference for me) and the old tennis-ball-under-the-foot trick.

The diehards - I like it! And I can't wait until I can run 6 miles! I broke 2 miles this morning, so I'm on my way.

I just finished W7D2 and had a much better run than W7D1. How about everyone else that posted on this thread - how was your next run?
-
I just finished W7D2, and did dramatically better than W7D1. Day 1 I ran 1.94 miles @ 12:52/mi. and today I ran 2.04 miles @ 12:13/mi. I also dropped my walk pace from 16:08 to 15:45. There are a lot of factors that went into doing better (like coming off a rest day), but I'm still really pleased with my results.

Also 5'2" - trying not to think about how many pounds I have left to go (I don't want to get overwhelmed so I break it into smaller goals), but it's more than 30. I'm down 37.5 pounds since the first of the year - anyone feel free to friend request me!

Today's workout is my C25K workout - Day 2 of Week 7. Day 1 of Week 7 was hard, both physically and mentally, so I'm anxious to get out there and hopefully have a better run today. It's 55 degrees and really foggy so this weather isn't exactly motivating, but it's good running weather anyway. There's a local marathon today…

Last fall I went back to a 6-speed manual transmission after years of driving an automatic. Nothing like it. It's so much more fun to drive.

I think the intervals in Week 6 are good. Weeks 5 and 6 really do build you up. I was surprised by how hard I found W6D2. I'm in Week 7 now and am glad to be done with intervals, but I don't regret doing them in D1 and D2 of W6.

Good luck!

Hard to believe we're only a week away! It's a cold, foggy, rainy day here in NE MN. We've got Grandma's Marathon tomorrow - forecast is for 55 and rain along the race course on Lake Superior, which maybe the runners will love. Today is my planned rest day, so I need to be extra vigilant in watching my calorie intake.…

Welcome!

Power 90 is tough! Not sure how much cardio you were doing before, but that's a big jump if you weren't doing much. Try the Walk Away The Pounds DVDs by Leslie Sansone. You can do it in your home.

Sorry I meant the local classes I was taking before don't fit into my schedule anymore, so I was wondering if Yogaglo was a good alternative.

Nice job on the 50 minutes of Tae Bo & the squats! What is the 5:2 diet?

Congrats!!!

I did W7D1 yesterday and had a horrible run too. I was also out of breath almost right away. I did manage to get that under control after the first couple minutes but I really had to focus on it. Nothing about the run felt good though - my legs hurt and I was tired and it felt endless. Then I didn't get the halfway point…

Me! I did it last year and was just trying to finish it. I was running 16 minute miles at the end. I'm doing it again this year and am working on getting faster. Just did W7D1 yesterday and am just under 13 minute miles, which is still slow but a big improvement from last year.
-
I stepped on the scale this morning too and was also happy with my results, so now I just need to keep that momentum going until Sunday. It's going to be challenging to reach the 20# mark by the end of the 75 days but I'm going to be close. I've got a trainer session after work today and will get some cardio in while I'm…

I don't know the answer to this so I'm not going to guess and give you bad advice, but I do want to wish you well & hope you have a speedy recovery!

So what goes through your mind while you're running those long runs?
