30 day shred- Me too. Liking it so far. was also wondering how to log this. I have been logging it as circuit training. Only on day 2 & I am soooooo sore. It was a wake-up call on how out of shape I am.

Sounds very interesting. Gonna check it out now.

Keep yourself busy. Read a book, meditate, peruse YouTube...... Take your mind off of food. Sometimes I feel like the more I try not to think about food the more it dominates my thoughts. Don't deny yourself. If you HAVE to snack, try snacks that are good for you & have very little calories. I try to always have veggies…

I like Pilates for that reason. It really helped me get toned & lean. I have fallen away from pilates but will be going back as soon as I get down in my weight a bit.

You could try bell peppers(all colors), portabella mushrooms, egg plant, sweet potato, asparagus I like butternut squash, cubed & roasted on the oven w/ a little olive oil, s&p Sauteed cabbage.

Don't go home- Take your gym stuff with you to work. Instead of going home go straight to the gym. Find a buddy. Someone that will motivate you & keep you accountable. What about your hubby? Your goal of being a super fit athlete is very inspiring. Go for it!

I have thought about starting C25K but my doctor has advised me NOT to run. I have arthritis. I do love the elliptical. Do you think I could get similar results on the elliptical? Confession....I have NOT been exercising AT ALL. This might light a fire under my butt. Sorry if I'm rambling. :)

I think you are being to hard on yourself. Some progress is better than NO progress. Give your body some time to adjust. I would suggest working on those things you identified as lacking - veggies, water. Little steps, don't give up.

You need to think of yourself first. It may sound selfish but who is going to take care of you? Only you. If you have people depending on you, you need to be the best you. Wow that's a lot of yous.:) You know the program was working for you before vacation & all the stress. It will work again. Do it because you can. Go for…

Great question THEN I work in food service so I would eat my breakfast & lunch at work. My portions were way too large. If there were leftovers I felt I needed to eat them so they wouldn't be wasted. Dumb I know. I would say the meals I cooked at home were for the most part pretty healthy. They were well rounded meals. It…

I say go for it! The take it or leave it approach is the best. If you are not "good enough" now - then you'll be "too good" for him later. If you are stalling because a little voice is telling you don't do it, then go w/ that little voice. It is ALWAYS right. AND if it doesn't work out, don't go to KFC or Krispy Kreme. Go…

WAY TO GO!!!! Yeah I'm yelling, cuz I'm cheering for you. Wooooooo!

LOL. That IS heavy coffee. :drinker: I thought I was the only one that weighed before & after eating. If the scale were in the kitchen I'd be on it as I ate-just for fun. Thanks for the laugh. Have a great day!

Thanks for all the replies & great information. I think the Kettle bells are a go. All positive. Thanks again.

I can relate to everything you said. I feel like I have been down that same path. For the last year or so I was always thinking of getting healthy & the end of December I just did it. MFP has been the best thing for me. I would love to be your cheerleader & shoulder to lean on.
-
This victory is yours!!!! Awesome.
-
The reason I joined MFP was to keep myself accountable and get motivation & encouragement from others. Once I started tracking my food I couldn't believe how much mindless eating I had been doing. It really has changed my habits. I've been on for about 3 weeks & I love it. I like the tools- food tracker, the weight ticker,…

What a fantastic idea. Gotta try it. Thanks.

I like to make a sauce for egg rolls. It has a soy sauce, vinegar, fresh garlic & a dash of hot sauce. Yum!

Thanks for posting this Q. I am having the same issue today. Don't know how????? I'm gonna have an apple & some peanut butter & call it a day.
-
My suggestion is order the best "real meal" you can. Split it w/ your boyfriend or box up half your meal before you even start eating. Enjoy the company & don't stress too much about one night out. Have fun.

All these dinners sound great. Lots of good recipes. Thanks. Dinner here was stew. More like a beef & veggie soup. But my fam calls it stew. :) Fresh french bread. Delicious.
-
Way to go! You have had great success this week. You must be super motivated. Keep it up.
-
I've seen a lot of people chatting about the C25k. Can you tell me a little about it. Sounds interesting. Thanks & good luck.
-
I don't think it works that way. BUT if walking them is what you can do at this point. DO IT! It's better than not doing it. For sure!
-
Sounds like you're back on track. Congratulations & good luck! :flowerforyou:

Me too! Welcome, Crossing my fingers- hoping this works!
