Ramadan Kareem everyone! This post has made me so happy because I was doubting whether I could stick with MFP during Ramadan. I'm in! I don't have a treadmill so I'll try to walk around the track by my house if it's not too hot. Other than that, I'm also starting Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30 today after iftar InshaAllah!…

I usually get my yoga videos from here http://www.youtube.com/user/TaraStilesYoga Her videos are usually 10-15 minutes long but you can mix a couple of them up to get the workout you want.
-
The same goes for me, I usually do eat a lot of my exercise calories back because I'm usually really hungry after a work out. I guess I just have to stick with MFP long enough to know what works with me. I never thought about how much of the MFP exercise database is based on guesses and how much of it could be off by a…

I hope I'm not too late for this because it seems great! I just bought the Ripped in 30 dvd a couple of hours ago and intend on starting it August 1st. I was originally looking for the 30DS but I couldn't find it and I was in a hurry to start a new work out so I picked this cause it seemed similar. Is the 30DS somewhat of…

This is amazing! Congratulations!! I think I've just been inspired to go buy a 30DS dvd myself

Try www.allrecipes.com! They have great recipes (and usually the nutritional facts along with them) and a special section for "healthy recipes"

Try using www.allrecipes.com It has some great recipes (and usually has nutritional facts about them too) There's an entire section on low carb, low fat or just healthy meals.

Whenever I am at a family/friends event with tons of good yet unhealthy food they made and I decide to not eat it because I have already eaten my kind of food or I've brought healthier food with me, someone ALWAYS mentions how I'm hurting their feelings and they're going to feel bad. Honestly though, it's your body and…

Welcome to MFP! There are so many supportive people here in the website. The motivation and encouragement from them is seriously what keeps me going! Hope you have a great time here and reach your goal in the end. Feel free to add me :)
-
My ultimate goal is 127, but anywhere from 125 to 130 would be great for me.

Whenever the weather is too horrible outside I bring out my yoga mat and do yoga for toning. For cardio I use 30 minute or more workout videos on youtube (kick boxing, fat burning yoga, etc... ) and it really helps me get my sweat on indoors!

Mmm these look really good! Definitely trying the Chocolate Delight smoothie some time! Thanks for sharing
-
This is amazing! You look great. This gives ME hope :) Keep it all up!

I try to eat all of the calories I'm allowed (without the calories burnt) I'm also a night owl and I usually find myself snacking on fruits, non fat yogurt, granola and mostly Fit and Active products like their fruit crisps, rice cakes, pop corn etc... I also drink a lot of light packet drinks like Wyler's and Light…

I love that place! It's so cozy and comfortable to be in and the food is great! Chicago's best :D
-
Thanks! I think I'll go with that since it's the only one I've seen so far :)
-
It doesn't look a lot to me! I think it's just because a lot of the food you eat is low in calories, which I think is good.
-
Count me in! I guess it's much more satisfying to work hard for a month and notice the change all at once rather than little by little each day :)
-
You deserve a little fun for your birthday! Keep in mind the portion size. Italian restaurants serve in huge portions so you could split a couple of entrees with another friend. I personally can never say no to Chocolate goodness, however now I do remember to always split my desert with my sister, mom or any willing…

Hi! I'm Dee, and I also used to be an on again-off again user, but this summer I'm hoping to stay active on MFP throughout the entire year, and so far so good. I've lost 6 pounds so far...and 17 more to go! Stay strong and focused- you can do this! :D
-
I calculated mine over here..http://www.fitnessfrog.com/tdee-calculator.html
-
Mine turned out to be 964, and I know I'll be starving if it was only that! I'm trying to do what the person above me said about the calorie burned with normal day activities.. will get back to ya when i find it

OH MY GOD, You look fabulous! I've been feeling a little discouraged and distracted lately, but looking at your progress is really amazing! Congratulations and Good luck with everything else!

Thank you guys for sharing these different brands and ideas! I have a hard time staying away from the pizza, nachos, and etc... section of the cafeteria but this will keep me going. I have found some meals that have less than 600mg of sodium (500-580) That's about it, but I guess that's a start. Thanks for all of…
-
Thanks! I'll definitely check out that brand, because anything is better than cafeteria food.

Wow, that workout will probably burn all the calories from the Holidays and more Lol. I just recently started, and I've been getting tired of my usual workout, which is always a 30 minute cardio, running or jogging in place. I don't have any exercising machines (I may be getting a wii fit soon) and its too cold where I…

I've been wanting a Wii Fit for quite sometime now, and I hope I get it soon. At first I was a little doubtful about what another gaming device can do, but you guys seem to benefit a lot from it! :) Hope to join your success reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally soon. GOOD LUCK!
-
Hi :) I only lost 3 pounds, so you're definitely good! Haha, but I promised myself that this is the year I wont quit a resolution! Good luck
-
Hi! I just recently started too! I hope you get where you want to be :) I totally understand the issue about not feeling comfortable with yourself, and hopefully I'll be over that by the summer! Good Luck C:

I just started 3 days ago! And I'm nervous, but hearing all of the success stories from other uses got me enthusiastic! :) The only problem is, sometimes I eat food that isn't mentioned here, I try to approximate the amount of calories, but I don't know if that's a good idea. I HOPE 2010 IS THE YEAR I LOSE THOSE POUNDS!
