I believe most heart rate monitors have a time lag, so the reading you'll get on the watch is your heart rate from a few seconds before. According to this website, the watch needs to be within three feet of the chest strap, with no other monitors nearby to cause interference.…

I don't use hula hoops, but maybe you could log it as aerobics?

I signed up. It looks like the rewards are only available to UK users, but I'll keep my account in case that changes.

I hate it when they ask you if you're applying/interviewing anywhere else. I'm not really sure what the correct answer is for that.

I'd love to look like Jessica Biel. I wouldn't say though that she's what initially made me want to change. I'm not a guy, but Josh Peck is pretty inspiring too. He lost about 100 pounds and did it within a good time frame (1 1/2 years). I get the impression that most celebrities who lose weight or get fit for roles rush…

I used to have trouble with this too. Just keep reminding yourself and eventually it'll become second nature. For me it helps to imagine that someone's about to punch me in the abdomen,

It depends on the person. For me, if my hair gets a few inches past shoulder length, it starts to tangle easily and looks too flat. Your hair looks nice at that length. :) But if you ever decide to make a big change (cutting off 10+ inches) you should consider donating to Locks of Love or a similar organization.

If someone brought up my weight with me, I'd tell them to mind their own business. Maybe invite her to do something fun and active with you (outside of the gym), then go out for lunch afterward. She might open up about any problems she's having, or the day could be enjoyable enough that it'll motivate her to be more active.

They're running a business, so unless you're friends with your stylist outside of the salon, I'm sure she'll understand. Try the new one out and for the next one go with the stylist you like better... though I think it'd be awkward if you didn't get the cut and color done at the same place. You don't have to tell her…

I'm signed up for the 10K! :) I think it'll be nice in May since it won't be so cold. I wish I could do the Pixie Challenge but I'm worried about injuries. I had pain for about a month after the Tink half this year and haven't run since then. :-\

Not sure why they've only started to happen now. Maybe your feet are sweating, or you're tying your shoelaces either tighter or more loosely? Have you tried anti-blister socks? They have two layers so that it reduces friction. Some people tape their feet as well.

I actually don't think I've seen any movie 10+ times. :( Elf is on TV every December, so I've probably seen that the most even though it's nowhere near my favorite movie.

Try a Spinning class.

I have a Fitbit and it's great for tracking steps, but not really any other activity. You'd have to enter those on either the MFP or Fitbit website manually. I've heard BodyMedia can be more accurate with those other activities, but I don't think it's waterproof.

Elephants obviously :)

I started out running around my neighborhood early in the morning when nobody was around. Then one day, there was another runner -- much fitter and faster -- on the sidewalk coming toward me. As he passed I checked to see if he was silently judging me. But he said good morning and waved. After that I realized I was…

I buy mine from Target.

That sounds more like half a serving. I have the Biscoff crunchy at home and one serving (2 tbsp) has 11g of sugar, 11g of fat and 18g carbs. That said, I still love it and buy it regularly when I can find it. Trader Joe's version is pretty good too.

Short Term 12. I saw it in theaters, but now that it's streaming on Netflix I recommend it to everybody. Best movie of 2013.

Your daily calorie goal is only 1,000. Maybe if you increase it and allow yourself small treats more regularly, you wouldn't overeat as much.

Water, towel, lock, phone, earbuds, extra hair ties, makeup remover wipes and hand sanitizer. I don't like to shower at the gym so I don't need much. If I'm taking a yoga class I'll bring my mat.

I usually shower at night, right after my workout.

You just have to find the right gym. I've been a member of my gym for over a year, nobody's judgmental and there are people of all body types there. Check out your local gyms on Yelp to get a sense of the vibe there. Some of the chains will let you sign up for memberships online. That will get one step out the way, and it…

It includes the calories you burn throughout the day at rest, not just exercise.

Pizza. I could eat it every day for the rest of my life and not get sick of it.

If you eat canned veggies, rinsing them with water cuts out some of the sodium, but I'm not sure exactly how much.

It has hour and minute hands like a traditional watch instead of an LCD display. It also has a smaller hand that tracks percentage of step goal completed. I don't think it will show calories burned though. http://www.withings.com/activite You could also try the Nike Fuelband.
