  • You might like center cut pork bacon. It has comparable calories/fat to turkey bacon, but really tastes like bacon. Of course, it costs a lot more than regular bacon!

  • I agree with most...MYOB. I immediately thought of my son when I read this. He is 6' tall, and weighs about 140 lbs. He eats anything and everything he wants, and can't gain weight. He's very self conscious about being too thin. Everyone is different, you can't assume.
  • Because he didn't say that he thinks you need to lose weight. He said that he refused to marry you unless you do. Mean, hurtful & controlling. And, as others have said, it sounds like an excuse. I'm sorry you are in that position, and hope you won't let it derail your efforts. Tell his Mother, and let her slap him! :)
  • I agree. Seems like a lot of nuts, and low on the veggies.
  • Intriguing! I'm going to have to try that.
  • A phrase I learned a few years ago that always sticks with me - Something like: "Following a healthy lifestyle and losing weight is hard. Being overweight and out of control is hard. Choose your hard". It motivates me at least. It reminds me that whatever I do, good or bad, really is a choice. I wish you the best!
  • Congratulations!
  • Great job! This post was particularly inspiring to me, because your start & goal weight are so close to mine. Can't wait to see the end result, and hopefully catch up to you soon! :)
  • Actually, I tried it with tuna, and actually preferred it over mayo. :)
  • I also like the 5 pound goal idea. It seems very attainable. My last weigh in was 171, so I'll be back at 166! One bump in the road... My exersize plan was to walk my dog, Zack (my profile pic) in my hilly neighborhood everyday after work. He's hurt his front leg, and is limping today. No way he'll be able to walk tonight.…
  • You can add the ticker on the My Home tab, under 'Profile'. It will let you personalize it, then add it to your profile. Good luck!
  • The truth is, in spite of my health problems, my biggest motivation is wanting to feel attractive again. The health improvements that would likely follow are a plus though! I find myself dreading cameras, and hoping not to run into people that haven't seen me lately when I'm out. I find myself hiding. I want to be in…
  • Hi everyone. I'm Lisa, I'm 43 years old, and would like to lose 35 lbs. I figured that was close enough to 40! :) I am (or just was) at my highest weight ever, and need to get back in control. I'm happily married with a 17 year old son and a 2 year old chocolate lab. Alcohol and the week-ends are my weaknesses!
  • I'm 5'3", weigh about 165 & wear a 10 -12. Years ago when I was younger at this same weight, I wore a very tight 14. My body shape changed a lot after I turned 40. I lost hips & gained stomach!
  • Bumblebreezy....I like your ticker picture. I might have to copy that idea!
  • I like salads, but this time of year, I prefer vegetable soups. You can fill them with whatever vegetables sound good, and if you roast them, they are even better. Eat as is, or puree to make a thicker soup. Add meat, rice, pasta or beans to make a meal, or serve along side a small sandwich. A small tortilla makes a great…
  • Yesterday :frown: 170.4 / 5'3"
  • I shouldn't be reading stories like this at work - I got teary eyed once I saw your photos at the same time as a client walked in! :) You look so healthy - What an inspiration! I recently lost my Mom to cancer & kidney failure at only 64 years old. It was a very painful death, in part due to a lifetime of being severely…
  • Hello. I relate to your post completely! I have hated having my picture taken for the past couple of years. In part due to unexplained hair loss, but mostly due to my weight. My son will graduate in 2015. I was thinking about 'cheating' today, but your comment made me remember why I want to do this - Thanks!
