I think it's a great idea

I like to stuff my meals with veges whenever possible. I have a lot of side salads, I pack any meal with mince (eg, bolognaise, shepherd's pie, rice paper rolls, San Choy bow, rissoles, Mexican, etc) with loads of differently coloured veges. It's filling, and tastes so much better. I also do the same with sandwiches. I try…

I find it's just about focusing on how much I want to achieve my goals and feel better/more healthy, and all the reasons why. I tend to think about that a lot during exercise, when I am shopping for food or about to eat
-
Hi! I'm a bit like that too, I'll go through periods where I'll track more heavily if I think I need to or am curious about my eating habits. I am trying to lose weight at the moment, so just being on this site helps me to focus on what I want to achieve
-
It depends on the period, for me. If it has me in crippling pain, I rest. If I can do something, I work out. If I think I can go hard, I do, if not, I'll do an easy workout. As for food, I'll eat the best foods I can, but if I have a hard core craving, I'll give into it.

Hi, drop bears are a myth some aussies like to tell to trick people, usually, it's something like a koala that jumps out of a tree and savages you? lol. Also, I personally prefer my tim tam slam with a glass of cold milk, but I know most swear by a hot beverage with theirs.

Hi, I am a carer for my partner at home. It might be different to your situation, but I'm finding a fitbit really helps everyday, but especially on days when my carer duties keep me extra busy.
-
I would say a few things. One, it means this week, you lost weight, and you didn't gain! That's a good thing, and means your work is paying off NOW. The other thing is, slower weight loss is easier to keep off.
-
Oh! And my fellow Aussies will hate me for saying this, but drop bears are NOT real, so don't worry about them. And make sure you do a tim-tam slam when you're here!

I live in Australia, definitely come, you will love it :) My best advice is, don't panic if you think people are insulting you. We have a sense of humour that is off-putting to non Australians sometimes. So, if someone pats you on the shoulder and says, 'ow's it garn, dickhead??' with a smile, it means they like you. :p…

I think your body is telling you it doesn't want to fast. I personally would listen to it over any religion.
-
Agree. I also wonder why people feel the need to comment on anyone's weight at all? Fat, thin, in between? If I'm face to face with any person, I do not bring up anyone's weight usually. I don't tell you you're fat, I don't tell you you're thin. The only exceptions are, if I know you are trying to lose weight, I'll tell…

l want to address this. I WON'T fail, and do you know how I know that? Because the goal weight I'm aiming for used to be my natural weight and I used to maintain it with ease. I have gained weight due to some injuries and health issues, and I choose not to stay that way. Of course I won't fail, I always succeed at this.…
-
Exactly. It goes both ways.
-
Only just read this, but I agree with you 100%
-
I like being thin, because I'm a small build (bonewise) and when I'm thin, that's when I feel my healthiest and have the least strain on my joints. Also, I appreciate the convenience of being able to know my size in a shop, grab it without trying it on and buying it. I don't have much time to shop for clothes and find it…

Good to know

Dammit! I only put 2,000
-
I'm going to start doing this. What is the exact number of calories it will burn?
-
That is brilliant!

My favourite way is steamed, either in a steamer pot or wrapped in foil then cooked like that. I like to add a variety of things depending on what I feel like: lemon, lime, ginger, garlic, herbs from the garden, that sort of thing. Very delicious and so good for you
-
I have the same issue. I find doing a lot of cardio helps, also the plank gave me some great results at one stage, and I keep meaning to get back to it. When I cut out softdrink (coke zero) a while ago, it made a huge difference (less bloat), but at the moment I cannot live without my coke lol
-
This. And it bores them, so they don't bother helping. It's not ideal, but stick to your guns :)
-
Yes, I'm aware you can't spot reduce, but I realise my question was probably not the clearest
-
I agree with the above poster. Simplify. Out of all the research, studies etc, decide for yourself what YOU think is true, or most important, or what works for you
-
I have a few suggestions. The first is, try to find foods and exercises you enjoy. The second, is don't worry about the rest of your life right now. Just do what you've got to do today, to the best of your ability. Third, I would suggest not labelling foods as 'good' or 'bad'. Most of the time, I'll make a healthy choice,…

Thanks, no, I was more interested in who they were marketing it at, that is all
-
I was meaning to find out, is this workout meant to help you get a smaller butt, or a bigger one? Because if it's too make it smaller, I'd give it a go, but if it's to build a 'booty', forget it. lol
-
It won't hurt you, but it's one of the worst things to look at or listen to someone else doing
-
The most recent new thing I've tried was a couple of years ago: kangaroo. I didn't like it, far too gamey. Which is a shame, because it's really good for you. I'll have to think of something else new to try, which is hard, because I've tried loads of things.
