As someone who frequently doles out my own money to treat my employees, whether it be donuts, lunch, or a healthy snack, maybe approaching the person who brings them and talking to them about how no one wants them and they are going to waste would be a better solution. If you look at it from a different perpspective, like…

^^THIS is NOT what Donuts are...LOL a still warm pumpkin cake donut is a beautiful thing..don't judge  I just don't eat them if I can't make them fit.

^^This...if you live by this then you never have to worry about it. The only time I keep a secret from my husband is if I am planning something special (a surprise) for him. Otherwise, I use "would this hurt/bother him?" and if the answer is yes then I don't put myself into that situation.

Avocado, tomato and little salt and pepper. I also like it with some chilli cheese fritos mixed in for crunch!

I grew up with a brother that was four years younger than me. I still enjoy alone time and will often eat out or take in a movie alone even though I'm married with children of my own now. I don't think independence is fostered through the number of children you have, but how you parent them. I have three children of my own…

I use the rosemary and olive oil one for sammiches...Tastes great to me it's 100 calories. Otherwise I do what husky said and cut the crust off and roll it out...with pumpernickel..mmmm

I'm straight and married, but I love a great story as well. I play PC RPG's as well as Xbox based ones. I also play D&D with my husband and some friends. I'm always reading or listening to an audiobook while I'm working out. I consider myself Christian, but run with the belief that God is Love and to exclude a group of…

http://thugkitchen.com/post/66979503286/get-that-soupy-green-bean-****-outta-here-cmon ^^Either this or: drizzled with olive oil, tossed in dry italian dressing mix, splashed with lemon juice, and roasted in the oven at 375 degrees for about 20-25 minutes. Kids love em that way. ETA: Just realized because the thug kitchen…

They always told us to make it their idea. Use phrases like "I don't want to keep you all day, I'll let you get back to business, You sound so busy I won't keep you" Based on whatever they were telling you, you could turn it back to make it seem like they didn't have time to talk to you. I used "You have your hands full…

Sorry that happened to both of you. Poor Management on your bosses part. When I got my very first job at a Sales Counter in high school, one of the first things they taught us was how to politely extracate yourself from a conversation with someone that just wouldn't stop..I still use that training to this day!
-
Not at all, it can absolutely be expressed, and I am just attempting to open up another point of view. I just not sure what "that guy" is. If you don't know the specifics of the conversation, or the situation then how is what he is doing annoying, or why does it annoy you? I guess for me I wouldn't see the situation you…
-
No not at all. I'm just not sure how the conversation of two grown adults is his concern unless he is directly involved. I can see saying "I felt bad for the clerk at my gym, it seemed like this guy was eating up all of his time" but instead he calls the man who struck up the conversation with the clerk a windbag for…

Right, but from the thread title it is infered that this person holding the conversation is somehow obnoxious for doing so, and if you don't have 100% of the story, then who are you to judge. That is all anyone is pointing out, you seem oblivious to that though.
-
Yes, this would be annoying, and it personally affects you. That would suck!
-
Probably because your thread title is "Don't be this person at the gym" So we all thought it would actually be about someone interfering with your workout. Instead it is you being concerned with a stranger's conversations. Plus it's a public forum, and most of us are killing some time. So our posts aren't about caring…

Why does it matter, and how is it any of your business? I might be missing something here, but I've worked years in customer service based positions and if the gentleman behind the counter wanted to end the conversation there are multiple ways to do it. All of them leaving the other person feeling satisfied with the…
