Congratulations!! I love the little goals along the way ... I just hit "pre-preg weight with child 3" ... still a bit to go before I hit "really, really overweight" and I can hardly wait!! Keep on keepin' on!

Here is my VERY favourite pizza crust!!! I personally don't like chickpea flour, but I've replaced the chickpea flour with a whole bunch of different options and the crust is still DELICIOUS! (Replaced with teff flour, millet flour, more sorghum). I will add that I double the recipe (we have four gluten-free here!) and to…

Also know that as you start eating healthy, the veggies will actually taste better! This week I've been craving carrots -- never happened before in my life. I'm having a whole huge carrot every lunch. Curious, I changed my MFP to track vitamin A, and lo and behold I've been low on vitamin A and now that I'm listening to my…

Indian or Thai food ..., yum. Not difficult to find recipes.

Rural Ontario somewhere between T.O. and Ottawa ... so far this morning I've seen every kind of precipitation that exists :-P. Right now, ice pellets with intermingled snowflakes ...

I'm using handweights on the treadmill -- I do a lot of cardio at home that combines toning and cardio. Because I'm limited to the amount of running I can do right now, and I find just walking very boring, a keep a pair of 3 lb. weights in the cup holders and during slower intervals do my upper body routine. I don't…

I love Leslie! When I started in January, it was too icy to do much outside, so I found one of her videos with 7 routines on it. Started barely able to do the one mile beginner, and now am up to her 3 miler. Since then, I've started at the gym -- and am far ahead there from where I would have been without 6 weeks of Leslie…

I just checked out your diary. You are NOT eating enough!! NOT a willpower thing -- you're trying to starve yourself and your body is trying to correct the process. This has been the cause of so many failed diets over the years ... mine included. Try real food. Add in treats occasionally. If you exercise, your body needs…

I've been gluten-free for 12 years. I was very skeptical ... however, it wasn't a trendy thing 12 years ago. I went gluten-free because I was, out of absolute desperation, trying it for a child. Mysteriously, a bunch of health issues I'd been dealing with for 3 years vanished within three days. Headaches, chronic back…

Yogi brand India Spice, Lemon and Ginger (only "fruit" tea I will drink -- fruit teas are quite acidic and are supposed to be hard on teeth), Sleepytime (can't recall who makes it), and chamomile tea (with a bit of honey).

I checked out your diary -- your "gain" is very likely water retention. You ate quite a bit of sodium yesterday in the hot dogs and ham. Just drink lots of water, and it might help you to start tracking your sodium through MFP as well :-).

I would add spinach to the first 9 options ... in fact I generally do! Cut it up small -- he shouldn't notice.

Yes! I use a Diva Cup -- they hold about 25 mL (sorry don't know how many oz. that is if you're in the U.S.). I will never use a tampon again. For a heavy cycle, you do have to change it more often than they suggest, however it's not a big problem. And ... no smell. They are a little tricky to get started with, but once…

My husband had a huge drop this week as well -- perhaps more sodium before previous weigh-in? I know weight loss isn't linear ...

I was quite heavy when I went gluten-free 12 year ago, and lost 35 pounds over a period of about three months doing no replacements (because there just wasn't that much available back then!), and nothing else (no exercise or anything). Sadly, as more "gluten-free" garbage became available, I enjoyed it, so I never…

Ooooh, so proud of you! I hit ONEderland last week -- it's so exciting (in my case I'd been no where near ONEderland for over 15 years. Feels so GOOD! Enjoy! What are you aiming for? My "first" goal is 179, where I am no longer obese but just very overweight :-P.

All my weight is between my neck and hips -- and it's coming off MORE there than anywhere else (I've been measuring inches, and I'm down about four inches now in my waist, and only half an inch in the bust :-) ). I've been doing MFP -- MFP set me at 1470 calories -- AND doing around 30 minutes daily cardio or combo…

Me too!! This morning!! I'm so excited -- also weighed in at 199.5 -- sadly, this is NOT my official weigh-in day, but I'm pretty sure I'll be officially there by Tuesday! I joined in January, and am down 12.5 pounds -- so not as big a drop BUT I haven't been under 200 for about 15 years!!!! I'll bring grain-free muffins…

You may be low in magnesium ... try a supplement at that time of the month :-). Wish I'd known this through two of my pregnancies!

Never mind, she actually describes it as an elimination diet, although they have you off for 21 days before you start introducing foods back in, which I personally think is far too long (maybe not for artificial sweeteners 'cause I'm not sure how long they would hang around in the system). So yes, this is a TEMPORARY…

I just looked over the "diet" -- really, it's a way to check for food intolerances. So yes, it's "restrictive" in that it removes the foods most likely to cause issues in the general population. As long as it's used for a limited time, I don't see a problem. Having said that, I don't see where you then add foods back in…
