  • Good for you! Those are FANTASTIC results! Welcome :)
  • I've read the book and watched the DVD. No where do I recall it saying you can use it for a weightloss tool??? Maybe I fell asleep.
  • did you subtract your starting weight or enter it as a weight update?
  • When I transitioned to a cleaner eating lifestyle, I started with incorporating a green smoothie every morning. Then I went to eating a big salad at lunch as well. Now I eat probably 90% of my diet is raw, unprocessed fruits/vegetables/nuts and seeds. Baby steps is the key.
  • Right there with you... I'm hovering at 80 more to go. Feel free to add me.
  • Amen to that girl!
  • You've come to the right place! Tons of great supportive people here. Feel free to add me :) I'm a bit of a clean freak eater... so if you ever want really clean recipes... I have an arsenal :)
  • I WISH my gym had one of these. I used to use this to condition when I lived in Alaska for cross country skiing, and you are right, it kicks your BUTT! I haven't seen a gym with one in ages. I might look on craigslist. Thanks for the idea.
  • I didn't use just my arms for swimming (it really sucks getting old) because I have a shoulder injury that I just got a cortisone injection for a few weeks ago... so if I use just my arms when I swim, it flares THAT up! I tell you... had I known I was going to be this crippled in my younger years, I would have certainly…
  • Feel free to add me! I'm a mom, who also works an insane schedule and is constantly traveling for my kiddos sports! I'm happy to provide as much support as I can!
  • dude... I have skipped meals in the past just so I could drink dinner LOL
  • Welcome! Take it one day at a time, one foot in front of the other. Expect stumbles (lord knows, I've had enough of those to tumble down a mountain) but the important thing is to get up, brush yourself off, and move forward. You've got this.
  • Welcome!! You'll love this place. Lots of awesome, supportive people.
  • Hey girl! The glorious thing you have on your side is youth, so you'll be able to kick booty in no time! (after 40 is a whole other ball game  ) This is a GREAT place to get support and get help with dietary issues. I've become darn near a master of clean eating over the last 5 years (wish my butt was small enough…
  • Not who the question was asked to, but I rarely use it because I don't feel it's all that it has previously been cracked up to be. I prefer coconut oil (organic). I feel it's a better fat all around.
  • Your adrenals are your adrenal glands. The glands that regulate adrenaline/cortisol and thyroid hormone function. When they burn out, your thyroid levels get messed up, your sleep gets messed up, your cortisone (stress hormone) gets messed up. Basically you pack on weight like nobody's business...and it takes FOREVER to…
  • Except for all of us that feel a million times better NOT eating it... yet have never had any conclusive medical tests confirming CD or Sensitivity. A lot of people don't realize how crappy they truly feel until they stop eating it.
  • The biggest hurdle for me was transitioning my diet to clean foods. Getting off all the processed crap and eating whole foods. I used to live out of stuff in boxes (mainly because it was quick and easy) now I rarely eat anything that even comes in a can. Look for ways to clean up everything you cook. I started with phasing…
  • Every body is different. You may have to adjust your calories. The key indicator is to watch your supply. If your supply drops, you need to add some calories. Play with it until you have a stable supply.
  • Yes, I'm really surprised they don't ask that question when you set up your profile.
  • I'm 48, with 90ish to lose who works 50 hours a week, commutes 2 hours a day, has a child with an INSANE hockey schedule that has me running her all over the world from August-March and then plays basketball, soccer, lacrosse and softball in her "free time". It's a SERIOUS struggle to find time to prioritize for me. I'd…
  • you should always add 300-400 a day when you are breastfeeding.
  • I disagree with this on a certain level. Unless you are eating organic wheat, you are eating genetically modified wheat which has it's own set of health issues. Secondary to that, wheat causes an inflammatory response in the body, so anyone with arthritis or joint issues will literally feel a million times better…
  • I was put on it in the past as well. I did pretty well the first couple of months and then it started to fry my adrenals (in retrospect, I was showing signs of adrenal burnout before that, so I can't say the medication was at fault entirely). I support the fact that it can jump start the weight loss/motivation and can give…
  • Right there with you sister! I lost 60, and have put back on 25.... needing to lose another 90. Feel free to add me!
  • I'm hovering at 90ish now... feel free to add me!
  • All soda is bad. If it's regular, it's loaded with high fructose corn syrup (which is made from genetically modified corn... corn that is designed to produce it's own pesticides... so when the insects eat it, their stomachs explode... but they tell us it's perfectly safe for us to consume :# The same pesticide is now being…
  • For those new to the transition, understand it will feel overwhelming in the beginning. When my daughter was first diagnosed with allergies I thought "oh... wheat allergy, no problem! I'll buy white bread" LOL I remember standing in the grocery store crying. You learn ways around things. Now, if you come across a recipe…
  • I've been gluten free for over 10 years. While there are TONS of gluten free options out there now, I try to stay away from them as really, they are no better for you than their gluten counterparts (processed with a ton of crap in them). I do a lot of shopping at the asian market. I get rice noodles and rice there…
